You may feel overwhelmed by life struggles, painful losses or relationship issues. I work with you to acknowledge difficult and complex emotions and experiences, such as anger, anxiety, guilt and shame. Often people feel alone in the midst of losses and transitions - families, friends and communities aren't always able to provide solace and support. Sometimes a loss or change may feel unbearable. Being seen and heard by another person can create powerful potential for healing and change. I can also work with you on long-term family dynamics and relationship patterns that sometimes add to feelings of isolation.
I specialise in counselling through grief, anxiety, trauma, major life adjustments and transitions. Experience includes perinatal bereavement, sibling death and stages such as new parenthood, relationship breakdowns, migration or family estrangement. I offer individual and couples therapy and I trained in Relationships Australia's specialist couples course.
Taking a first step towards professional support is a big move and can seem scary, especially if you are feeling raw and vulnerable. I aim to create safety in the therapy room by listening to peoples' needs and exploring the process together. I am to gently build a rapport and relationship that respects a person's boundaries and tolerance for therapy.

I often use an attachment framework and relational lens to identify the experiences and people you struggle most with in your life. Exploring more about these interpersonal patterns leads to information and knowledge, increasing your capacity to acknowledge your emotional reactions and work together on strategies to process and manage them more effectively.
