Hi, I'm Andy, and I want to instill hope back in you for your future. Are you stuck going round and round in circles, on the hamster wheel of life, or "making the same mistakes" in relationships, over and over again? I've been there myself. Maybe giving yourself time to pause, reflect, and gaining some new tools for your personal toolbox is all you need to start the journey to wholeness. Let's dive deep into a world of discovery and choices, that our emotions are often signposts to deeper truths, if only we take the time and have the eyes to see. Often the greatest rewards lie at the end of life's hardest roads.

I work with people ashamed of their feelings and need someone to talk to. They suffer from trauma, depression, and extreme grief. They have lost a part of themselves or someone they really love. They have a lot of outer success but internally, they feel very overwhelmed with life and feel they're drowning. They do not know how to cope anymore and mostly, they think ending their lives would ease or end the pain. They are ashamed of their feelings and they feel very much alone, no one understands them and they don’t have anyone to talk to. They are fed up and they cannot see, hear nor feel anything positive anymore.

Hey there, I’m Mei and I am an integrative arts psychotherapist. Drawing from multiple modalities, I practise with a blend of traditional and contemporary Talk Therapy, Arts Therapy and Dreamwork, with creative and experiential approaches, through a psycho-spiritual lens. I am guided by my clients and their present moment experiences.

I've spent my counselling career in grief and loss, supporting clients through illness, bereavement, caring, and the various losses that come with major life transitions. I'm not into toxic positivity – sometimes life really is hard – but I can offer a space to laugh and cry and rage and vent, and find ways together to keep moving forward.

I became a counsellor to be with people and help them feel less alone. All experiences are welcome - whatever your background, identity, or journey, you have a place here. Magic comes from feeling safe and heard - with me, you don't have to brace for judgment, hide who you are, or do anything “correctly”. Your story is valued and you aren’t a problem to be solved. The power of therapy is not a formula to me, nor is it effective because of a framework. It works because you show up. You deserve compassion as you navigate your life and find what feels authentic to you.

I’m a registered psychologist offering telehealth across Australia for neurodivergent adolescents and adults, and for parents and carers of children with developmental differences or complex/rare health conditions. Many clients I work with appear outwardly capable yet carry anxiety, overwhelm or burnout. I understand the emotional toll of navigating health, education or disability systems and ongoing uncertainty, and offer a calm, neuro-affirming and collaborative space that supports understanding, emotional regulation and sustainable coping. I hold a PhD in cyberpsychology and also support people affected by online harm and scams.

What do family therapists do?
A family therapist facilitates the process of understanding and improving how a family functions. The therapist will help family members develop empathy for one another. They’ll seek to understand existing patterns, misunderstandings, and conflicts that arise, in order to help the family arrive at a realistic, unified understanding and develop the coping skills they need to build stronger relationships.
How long does therapy for families take to work?
Therapy manifests differently in every family; a common time frame is 12 weekly sessions, but some families may see improvement after just a few weeks. Families should discuss their goals with the therapist at the beginning of the process and periodically revisit those goals to assess their progress together.
How can you encourage a family member to attend family therapy?
You can encourage family members to attend therapy by expressing with both love and concern the challenges you see and explaining how a therapist could help the family navigate those challenges together. An outside perspective can help everyone feel heard, get on the same page, and develop new skills. If family members are still hesitant, it may be helpful to emphasize that family therapy is short-term—it won’t last forever.
Is therapy for families effective?
Family therapy can significantly improve family dynamics and relationships. Research suggests that family therapy can help individuals understand their role in the family, communicate and solve problems together, reduce conflict and draw boundaries when necessary, and develop coping skills for stressors, major life changes, and mental or physical illnesses within the family.
