I integrate Focusing, Somatic EMDR, ACT, NeuroAffective Touch and other somatic approaches, choosing what best supports you in each moment.
By the time many people find me, they're often exhausted. They've worked incredibly hard to feel better, yet something still isn't shifting. Many have tried therapy, read the books, practised mindfulness, or explored nervous system and body-based approaches. Some things may even have helped for a while. But life still feels harder than it should. If you're wondering why you're still struggling, you're not alone. I work with people who are tired of fighting themselves and ready for a different approach.

Using Schema Therapy, EMDR and CBT, I support adults who are ready to stop cycling through the same painful dynamics and start rewriting their story.
Choosing a therapist from the many, many options can feel overwhelming! It can be hard to know who to choose... Think of it less like picking a service and more like choosing someone you’ll be in a professional relationship with. A sense of ease/chemistry with the person truly matter. Here’s what it’s like to work with me: I’m warm but direct. I am passionate about helping people transform their lives.

I aim to create a warm, safe, and non-judgemental space where you can speak openly about what’s weighing on you — the painful emotions, experiences, and challenges that life can throw our way. One of the most meaningful parts of my work is seeing clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported. A strong therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful change, so my style is friendly, relaxed, and down-to-earth. At the same time, my approach is pragmatic and purposeful — therapy isn’t just about talking, but about making sense of your experiences and finding practical ways to move forward in everyday life.

I am trained in Coherence Therapy, EMDR (Levels 1 and 2), ACT, Schema Therapy, DBT, and Compassion Focused Therapy.
I help Adults who feel stuck. They have the insight, the self-awareness and yet the same patterns keep returning. They are not broken. They simply haven't yet found the level where change can happen. Many carry complex presentations trauma, C-PTSD, PTSD, Borderline Personality Disorder, depression, anxiety, attachment difficulties. Many are neurodivergent, with late or questioning ADHD or autism diagnoses. Sessions explore what symptoms were originally protecting, creating the conditions for change at the source, rather than symptom management alone.

I have specialist training in Trauma informed therapy, I based my work in Psychodynamic and attachment foundations, incorporating EMDR, Dbt and interpersonal and other models
We all want to live our ‘best life’ but sometimes that can be a challenge. We can be faced with the unpredictable, the unexpected- or alternatively experience no change (being stuck) when we are sitting in something tough. As competent as we might be in the world out there, it can be hard to gain perspective and stand outside ourselves and work out what would be the best way forward. My goal as a therapist is to offer you a safe and impartial place to put your thoughts into word and help you wade through them effectively coming to your own identification of the best way forward.

I utilise a solution-focused, integrative approach, including CBT, ACT, Schema Therapy and EMDR.
You may be navigating a difficult life transition, managing a complex personal history, or seeking a truly affirmative space within the LGBTQIA+ community. Many of my clients feel "stuck" in cycles of persistent stress, relationship conflict, or emotional exhaustion and want more than just a listener; they want a clear strategy for change. Your goal is to move past the mental fog to regain a sense of purpose and connection. You need a professional who understands that your well-being is tied to your values and that you deserve a life where you feel in control, rather than just reacting to the next challenge.

EMDR Therapists
Who is EMDR for?
EMDR was initially developed as a treatment for individuals with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for whom memories of a deeply distressing experience can be inadvertently triggered by random everyday events. The procedure has since been applied in the treatment of many other conditions. For example, it is used by some therapists to treat anxiety disorders including panic and phobias, depression, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and some personality disorders. It is suitable for adolescents and adults.

Why do people need EMDR?
People need EMDR as a way to manage distressing memories that in some way hamper the ability to function in the present. The procedure is believed to target the way memories are stored in the brain. Evidence indicates that past disturbing experiences cause ongoing distress because they were not adequately processed, and when such memories are triggered in the present, they are accompanied by all the emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations as the initial experience.

What problems does EMDR treat?
First and foremost, EMDR is intended as a treatment for PTSD, to defuse distressing memories that intrude on and impair everyday functioning. It is also often used to help those who are subject to panic attacks, phobias, and other forms of anxiety. In addition, EMDR has been used to treat individuals with depression, eating disorders, and personality disorders.

What happens in EMDR therapy?
First the therapist takes an individual’s history, and then the therapist and client decide which distressing experience(s) will be the target(s) of the exercise, delivered via a side-to-side visual stimulus requiring lateral eye movements. The client will be asked to activate thoughts, feelings, and any body sensations related to the troubling experience. The eye movements are said to reduce the emotional charge of the memory, so that the experience can then be safely discussed with the therapist and digested, minimising its ability to trigger anxiety.
