You're a mum who’s overwhelmed, burnt out, and wondering where you went in all of this. You’re carrying the mental load, trying to do everything “right,” but still feel resentful, anxious, or low. You want to feel more like yourself again - calm, connected, and understood. Or maybe you’re a couple stuck in the same arguments - disconnected, resentful, unsure how to fix it. You both want to feel heard again, to stop fighting over chores, and to rebuild a sense of closeness and teamwork without blame.

I work with individuals across the lifespan, supporting children and their families, youth and adults navigating a variety of concerns. I deeply believe everyone is deserving of a space where they can feel seen, heard and connected. I am interested in how people's backgrounds and histories, the environments and relationships we experience can shape who we are in the present moment, how we understand ourselves, and how we move through the world.

Life can become overwhelming, leaving you anxious, exhausted, or unsure how to move forward. You don’t have to face it alone. My approach is gentle, supportive, and trauma-informed, offering a calm space to pause and make sense of what’s happening. Together we’ll explore your experiences, build practical coping tools, and begin the process of healing and rediscovering a sense of balance and hope. Therapy with me is collaborative and centred around what matters most to you — your values, your goals, and your pace. It’s about creating lasting change that feels both empowering and authentic to who you are.

I see children, adolescents, and adults with ADHD or autistic profiles who feel misunderstood, overwhelmed, or worn down by systems that weren’t designed for them. They may be navigating anxiety, burnout, emotional regulation challenges, trauma, identity questions, or life transitions. Their goal is to better understand themselves, feel accepted rather than “fixed,” and build confidence using strengths-based, practical strategies that genuinely fit them. I am also an EMDR therapist and support clients in processing trauma in a safe, compassionate way. I too am a mum of two and proudly neurodivergent myself.

I work with young people aged 12–25 and their parents. Some families come to me for the everyday challenges of growing up — anxiety, friendship struggles, low self-esteem, grief, school stress, or not feeling like they belong. Others are in harder territory — withdrawal, school refusal, substance use, rage, or behaviours that keep parents awake at night. Most parents arrive with the same question: Why isn’t what I’m doing working, and how do I reach my kid again? I help families answer that — by decoding what’s driving the behaviour and creating a space young people feel safe enough to do the work.

Art Therapy
How does art therapy work?
The process of making art allows people to express themselves. Art-making can take many forms, such as painting, collage, or sculpting. The therapist asks questions that the work elicits, such as how the person felt while creating their piece, or if any memories surfaced that they can discuss. The therapist will then work with the patient to process their experience, understand themselves better, and work toward change.

Does art therapy help with trauma?
Art therapy can be a valuable treatment option for those suffering from trauma. Traumatic experiences such as combat, rape, or childhood abuse can be so painful that articulating them can be too scary or painful; creating art allows people to express themselves without words, and tell their story in a different way. The physical nature of creating art can also help people feel rooted in the body, which may benefit those who feel disconnected from their body in the aftermath of trauma.

How long does art therapy last?
The duration of art therapy varies, but a common length for treatment is 10 to 15 weekly sessions. Some people may see improvement in just a few weeks, while others may choose to remain in therapy longer term. Patients should periodically discuss their goals with their therapist to make sure the two are aligned on process and progress.

What are the limitations of art therapy?
Art therapy is helpful for many people, but a limitation is that it doesn’t have as robust an evidence base as other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioural therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy. The evidence on art therapy is mixed; some research demonstrates its benefits, while other research suggests that it has little impact on patients.
