Replenish grew from a simple but deeply held belief: that healing happens in relationships where people feel safe, seen, and genuinely understood. Our journey began with a desire to create a space that was both heart-led and clinically grounded, a place where evidence-based practice meets real human connection. Over time, Replenish has evolved into a community of dedicated clinicians and educators who share a common commitment to thoughtful, ethical, and trauma-informed care. We honour the complexity of each person’s story and understand that change rarely happens in straight lines.

Emotional pain often brings a deep sense of vulnerability, accompanied by a desire for relief and understanding. During these moments, life can feel completely overwhelming, and the loneliness that is so often experienced only intensifies the pain. Seeking support is not a sign of weakness but a powerful acknowledgment that we are not meant to face life’s difficulties on our own. Accepting help from others, both giving and receiving, is a law of nature.

I help men cope with the key issues they face; depression, anxiety, loss, stress, life changes, addictive behaviours, and guilt or shame from sex, BDSM and kink issues in life.
Put simply, I help men deal with feelings of being alone, broken, unheard, with impacts from mild through to feeling hopeless and ‘near the end of your ability to cope’. I help men cope with addiction, depression, stress, grief and life challenges. I help them cope with shame and suffering from sex and sexuality problems, and kink challenges. You’re not alone, you’re not broken. There are ways to change how you feel and to make things better, in a few weeks. You’re not trapped, there is hope - you just need someone to share this with, and to help you see your way forward. That’s what I do.

Hello, I’m Caroline. I’m a dedicated registered psychologist with a person-centered and neuro-affirmative approach to my practice. I know therapy can be a daunting experience where you’re put in a very vulnerable position with a stranger. I try to create a space where my clients can take their time to open up, so they feel emotionally safe and ultimately seen.

Anxiety Therapists

When should I seek treatment for anxiety?

Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.

What are the most common types of treatment for anxiety?

Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioural therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioural Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.

How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?

The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.

How effective is treatment for anxiety?

Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
