I utilise a solution-focused, integrative approach, including CBT, ACT, Schema Therapy and EMDR.
You may be navigating a difficult life transition, managing a complex personal history, or seeking a truly affirmative space within the LGBTQIA+ community. Many of my clients feel "stuck" in cycles of persistent stress, relationship conflict, or emotional exhaustion and want more than just a listener; they want a clear strategy for change. Your goal is to move past the mental fog to regain a sense of purpose and connection. You need a professional who understands that your well-being is tied to your values and that you deserve a life where you feel in control, rather than just reacting to the next challenge.

I also support couples who care deeply for each other but feel caught in cycles of conflict, distance, mistrust, or the impact of infidelity and broken trust. I help clients understand the attachment and trauma roots of these patterns, process emotional wounds, and shift how they relate, moving toward greater stability, trust, and connection.

Together we build insight, emotional awareness, and practical skills for more secure and satisfying connections, drawing on CBT, schema therapy, DBT, ACT, and Gottman-informed work
You may be noticing the same difficult patterns playing out in your relationships, work, or emotional life, such as repeated relationship breakdowns, conflict with others, or feeling overwhelmed, shut down, or unsure how to change. You are likely thoughtful and curious about yourself, yet confused about why these patterns exist or where they came from. You want to understand yourself more deeply and find ways to relate to others with more confidence and ease.

Talking Sleep Psychology

I work with adults and older adults struggling with insomnia, sleep anxiety, or poor sleep quality — often people who have tried other approaches without lasting results, or who sense something deeper is keeping their nervous system alert at night. Many of my clients are midlife women navigating sleep disruption alongside hormonal transition and the pressures of this life stage. The goal is always the same: to leave with a genuinely different relationship with sleep — not rules to follow, but a real understanding of what your nervous system needs, even on hard nights

Psychologist, PsychD, PsyBA - Clin. Psych

I work with people who have experienced trauma connected to specific incidents or their work: first responders, frontline healthcare workers, people recovering from motor vehicle accidents, life threatening illness or workplace injuries. Many arrive feeling exhausted by hypervigilance, disrupted sleep, flashbacks, or a sense of disconnection from the life they had before. Some are managing a formal PTSD diagnosis and others know that what happened hasn't settled, and daily life feels harder than it should. Wherever you're starting from, your experience is valid, there are treatments that will help you reclaim your life again.

These are the treatment types I use: primarily psychodynamic therapy and CBT, with elements of schema therapy and systems therapy where helpful.
I work best with individuals navigating trauma, mood or relationship difficulties, or long-standing patterns that feel hard to change. Some are dealing with anxiety, trauma or depression; others are working through complex life experiences such as past trauma, relationship issues, personality issues or loss. Often, they’ve spent years coping but feel ready to understand themselves more deeply and shift what’s no longer serving them. They’re seeking a therapy space that offers warmth, depth, and clarity, where insight leads to meaningful and lasting change.

I tailor evidence‑based therapies like CBT, ACT, EMDR, Schema Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy to help you understand your mind, feel more in control, and move forward with confidence.
With an additional background in behavioural neuroscience and a PhD in cognitive psychology, I specialise in how memory shapes feelings and automatic thoughts. Clients often see me when they feel stuck or overwhelmed and together we unpack patterns and build achievable, meaningful goals.

Schema Therapy
How does schema therapy work?
Schema therapy is based on the idea that maladaptive thought patterns formed in childhood—that other people can never be relied on, for example—can interfere with healthy functioning in adulthood. Accordingly, schema therapy works by directly targeting such unhealthy schemas, identifying their consequences, and replacing them with more adaptive ways of thinking. To this end, schema therapists aim to “reparent” the client by offering what they didn’t get in childhood—validation, for instance, or compassion—to reorient their worldview.

Is schema therapy evidence-based?
Schema therapy is still considered relatively new, and research on its efficacy is still in progress. However, some studies have concluded that it can be effective at treating certain mental health conditions, most notably personality disorders such as borderline personality disorder. Evidence for its efficacy in treating conditions like depression, anxiety, PTSD, and OCD is promising but less conclusive, and experts warn that much of the existing research is of low quality.

Is schema therapy a type of CBT?
Schema therapy is based on many principles of CBT, most notably the process of recognising and challenging maladaptive thought patterns. But because schema therapy also draws from other approaches, including psychoanalysis and Gestalt therapy, it is not considered a form of CBT. It also typically delves deeper into the client’s childhood than does CBT.

How does schema therapy work?
Schema therapy does not call for a set number of sessions and is instead open-ended, with the treatment timeline depending on the client’s primary concern(s), progress, and preferences. Treatment that lasts between six months and two years is common, though many clients will start to see progress much earlier than that.
