Are you looking for understanding rather than judgement? Perhaps something in your life, relationship or family no longer feels right. You may be living with anxiety, depression, loneliness, conflict or a repeating pattern you cannot quite explain. Alcohol, gambling, pornography, work, sex, technology or other behaviours may have gradually become ways of avoiding feelings that seem too difficult to sit with. Or perhaps you and your partner simply seem to experience the world differently. Increasingly we recognise that human beings do not all think, feel, communicate, process information

I've offer both therapy and diagnostic assessments in this space (including Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, cognitive assessments and more).

As a fellow ADHD'er, I particularly specialise in AuDHD, as well as anxiety, and childhood trauma.
Heya, I’m Sagar! I understand how nerve-wracking it can be to walk into a psychologist’s office. That’s why I aim to be warm, empathetic and approachable, to build a genuine relationship as the foundation of our therapeutic process. I work across the lifespan, and I love helping clients navigate those big life changes— adolescence into adulthood; career into retirement; or any of those big, overwhelming events that seem to just come with life. My approach is to give clients insight into their thoughts & emotions, warmth and space to help process and heal, then collaboratively create tools and strategies to lay problems to rest.

Psyborg and a counsellor who has been navigating ADHD since I was a kid.
My approach is CF-CBT — Compassion Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy — which means the work is rigorous and evidence-based, but the climate it happens in is warm, non-judgmental, and built around how you actually function. Not how you're supposed to.

ADHD Therapists
When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioural therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
