I am an experienced Clinical Psychologist supporting people (13+) with OCD, phobias, anxiety, and mood-related difficulties. I have a particular interest in the “stickiness” of OCD, particularly how intrusive thoughts, doubt, and compulsions can quietly take over daily life. I offer a thoughtful, collaborative space where we can slow things down, make sense of these patterns, and help you respond differently to difficult thoughts and feelings so you can move through the world with more freedom and meaning. Exposure work can feel confronting and messy at times, but we’ll approach it slowly together at a pace that feels manageable.

My approach draws on evidence-based therapies including CBT, ACT, DBT-informed strategies, mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and relational therapy.
Real Support for Broken Relationships, Deep Trauma, and Addiction Recovery If you are waking up every morning feeling heavy, disconnected from your partner, or exhausted from fighting the same old battles with addiction or trauma, you don't have to navigate this alone. Often, we find ourselves stuck in destructive patterns not because we aren't trying, but because the weight of past pain or current legal and personal crises has simply become too much to carry. I will provide you a with a warm, safe, and collaborative space where we focus entirely on you and unpack what is keeping you trapped to moving forward with practical skills.

I am an easy going psychologist who doesnt take things too seriously, however I still love to produce results. I have a wealth of experience under the NDIS, but do delve into private, work cover, CTP and victims services to broaden my experience. I like to ensure I am the right psychologist first, and try to help refer out to someone who is suitable if I am not.

My therapeutic approach involves collaboratively working with clients whilst utilising a combination of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Hi, my name is Divya, and I am a registered psychologist with a passion to support and empower individuals in their mental health journey. Our past traumas and experiences shape how we view and interact with the world, often influencing our responses and emotions. Without proper support, we may develop unhelpful coping mechanisms, leading to unresolved pain and making life overwhelming. This can manifest as anxiety, depression, interpersonal conflicts, low self-esteem, etc. With these inner-conflicts, seeking to start understanding yourself better and learning to adopt healthier coping skills is a brave step to transform and heal.

I take time to understand your difficulties — where they began and what's maintaining them — and draw on CBT, ACT, Schema Therapy, and DBT to create an individualised treatment plan built for you.
As a clinical psychologist working across public and private health settings, I've met people with a range of challenges — anxiety, stress, low mood, life transitions, or difficulties that feel hard to untangle alone. For many, this is their first time seeking support, unsure where to start; others haven't found the right fit elsewhere. What brings them in is a readiness to be heard, understood, and supported without judgement. I work collaboratively, tailoring evidence-based approaches to your pace, helping you make sense of what's underneath the surface, build on your strengths, and move forward towards your goals and values.

Therapy doesn’t have to feel stiff, clinical, or like you’re being “fixed.” I offer a warm, down-to-earth space where people of all ages can show up as they are and feel genuinely understood. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and practical, grounded in real connection and a strengths-based lens. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and parents, supporting big emotions, overwhelm, anxiety, and life transitions. There’s room for humour, honesty, and imperfection here — because meaningful change happens when you feel safe, supported, and seen.

Dialectical Behaviour (DBT) Therapists
Who is DBT for?
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is designed for people who experience extreme emotional suffering because they lack the skills of emotion regulation and distress tolerance. The basic affliction can underlie a wide range of conditions, from borderline and other personality disorders to PTSD and treatment-resistant anxiety and depression. The therapy is helpful to those whose emotional reactivity is so intense it is disruptive to everyday functioning and leads to frequent crises.

Why do people need DBT?
The ability to regulate emotions is a core psychological skill that enables people to function in life and pay attention to the world outside themselves; it is consistently associated with well-being. DBT is designed to help people learn how to manage and regulate their emotions. Originally developed to treat people with borderline personality disorder whose extreme emotional suffering led to self-harming behaviour and suicide attempts, the therapy is now applied to other conditions involving emotion dysregulation, particularly when other treatments have failed.

What happens in DBT?
Individuals meet weekly with their therapist to discuss their experiences relating to moods, behaviour, and skills. Using checklists they maintain, they review emotional experiences and positive practices they engage in. The diaries help individuals discern what led up to a specific problem encountered, this is followed by discussion of the consequences of their actions. In addition, individuals may meet in class-like small groups to learn skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance.

How long does DBT last?
Because it is intended to establish long-lasting behavioural change among those with persistent problems, DBT is designed to last six months to a year. DBT includes both weekly sessions of individual therapy and weekly skills-training sessions conducted in small groups. Studies of DBT have documented improvement within a year of treatment, particularly in controlling self-harmful behaviour; nevertheless, individuals may require therapy for several years.
