I’m a registered psychologist in Bondi Junction and Summer Hill, offering a calm, nurturing space for women who are tired of being strong. I support high-functioning women who feel burnt out from holding everything together — mothers who never stop giving, career women with heavy workloads, and many trying to do both while feeling exhausted inside. You look capable on the outside, but inside you feel anxious, overwhelmed and running on empty. If that’s you, you’re not alone — and you don’t have to keep coping quietly.

We can all have times in our lives when things can seem unmanageable, whether it is within our family or close relationships, divorce or bereavement, or our health, our work or in coming to terms with difficult events that have happened either recently or in the past , which still don’t feel resolved. You are not alone, as human beings we all have difficult times. It is a brave decision to try to resolve those issues in the best way you can. A counsellor is not there to judge you, or to give you text book solutions. They are there to help and guide you towards the solution that is right for you.

Drawing on attachment theory, family systems, psychodynamic principles, and Polyvagal‑informed practice, I help clients make sense of their internal world — their emotions, somatic cues, patterns of protection, and core beliefs.
I am a PACFA‑registered counsellor who supports adults, adolescents, couples, and families through a compassionate, trauma‑informed, and relational approach. My work is grounded in the belief that healing happens in safe, attuned connection — where your story is honoured, your voice is centred, and your nervous system is met with understanding rather than judgment. Whether you’re navigating relationship challenges, stress, anxiety, trauma, or a longing for deeper self‑understanding, I offer a space where you can slow down, breathe, and reconnect with your own inner wisdom. Your journey, your voice, and your healing.

Social Worker, AASW
Paddington, NSW 2021
I use a Buddhist -informed Psychodynamic approach in my practice where we build a relationship first and foremost, where you feel you are being listened to and understood, and then together we work towards finding a way through your suffering and how we might enable some relief using therapies available to us.
I like to work with people who have found that short -term therapies have not worked for them. My clients come to me because their problems reemerge regularly and are damaging the relationships in their lives. Expressing feelings, such as anger may be difficult, or feelings of hopelessness have taken over and they are afraid. Some may be struggling with finding romantic partners that stick, or working relationships that support them. To live and work with other people is one of the hardest things we do and yet we have to, and some of us need a little support to manage the emotional roller coaster.

Person-centred and relationally grounded, my work draws on psychodynamic and existential thinking.
My clients are adults carrying something for a long time without a name for it. Functioning on the outside. Holding careers, relationships, and families together. But underneath, something keeps surfacing in the same patterns, the same arguments, the same sleepless nights. Many are navigating major transitions. A career change. A relationship ending. A move across countries or cultures. Some carry the invisible weight of expectations that were never theirs to own. All of them have reached a point where something has to shift. I work with them to find what is underneath. Not to fix them. To help them finally see themselves clearly.

Psychodynamic Therapists
Is psychodynamic therapy evidence-based?
Studies have found psychodynamic therapy to be effective in treating conditions like social anxiety, eating disorders, chronic pain, some personality disorders, and depression; indeed, some studies have found it to be just as effective as CBT or medication. What’s more, several studies have found that the benefits of psychodynamic therapy tend to endure—even grow—long after treatment has ended.

How long does psychodynamic therapy last?
Unlike CBT and other more structured forms of therapy, psychodynamic therapy tends to be open-ended and may not be limited to a set number of sessions. It is common for clients to be in therapy for a year or longer and to see their therapist one to three times a week, though the exact schedule and timeline may vary depending on a client’s challenges and progress. However, brief psychodynamic therapy is available, which tends to be more goal-oriented and typically unfolds over 16 to 30 sessions.

Does psychodynamic therapy work?
Research finds that psychodynamic therapy can help someone manage or reduce symptoms of diagnosable mental health conditions like depression or anxiety. The modality may also offer a range of benefits that are harder to measure but just as valuable—such as increased self-worth or healthier relationships. While no therapy type will work for everyone, research and anecdotal evidence suggest that psychodynamic therapy can be highly effective.

What are the limitations of psychodynamic therapy?
Some meta-analyses have concluded that there is little evidence to suggest that psychodynamic therapy can effectively treat certain mental health conditions such as PTSD, OCD, or psychosis, though it is sometimes used to do so. More broadly, the open-ended, free-association structure of psychodynamic therapy may be frustrating for clients who prefer a more structured, time-limited, or goal-oriented approach.
