I work with people to help improve their psychological well-being. There are times when life can feel like an impossible place to live, or where life's map looking forward seems out of touch with our current experiences. At these times I will be an ally who can genuinely listen and build understanding to assist with making sense of experiences of life. This support can give us space to pause, breathe out and find opportunities to discover tools, insights and understandings with which to help clarify and calibrate for everyone's own unique views of life's map.

I work with men who are ready to make meaningful change.
Together, we explore how you communicate — especially in those moments where things feel tense or confusing. Whether it's anxiety, burnout, anger, or just a feeling that something's off, this is a space where you don’t have to work through it alone.
We’ll unpack what’s really going on underneath the surface — the patterns, the triggers, the unspoken stuff — and work toward real, lasting relief.

I believe that the client-therapist relationship is the key to effective therapy. Together, we explore all aspects of the presenting issues, including the history and development of the issue, your attitudes, beliefs, values, and goals. Once we have everything on the table, we collaborate to find and implement solutions. I like to think of therapy as guided self-discovery. It's a process. And hopefully a curious, enlightening and deeply meaningful one.

My ideal client might be feeling a bit lost, stuck, or unsure - navigating things like anxiety, identity, low mood, or life transitions. They may be exploring who they are, what matters to them, or how to feel more connected in their relationships. They’re not necessarily looking for a quick fix, but want real, lasting change and a greater sense of ease. I offer a warm, affirming space where they can feel safe to explore, reflect, and move at their own pace toward the life they want.

Hello! I am Jordi, the director of Jigsaw Psychology & Assessment. I would describe myself as highly empathetic, easy to talk to, but as someone who can also be direct when needed. I have a keen interest in helping people understand and work through the true causes of anxiety; understanding and processing trauma; and also working with neurodivergent people. While I am well trained in CBT, and frequently utilise it, I am also interested in what is underlying presenting concerns, and how to best tackle them. This can look different depending on the client, but it is always something I am keen to explore.

Modern life presents us with enormous challenges: in our work, our relationships and within ourselves. We are strong and capable beings, yet sometimes we can become overwhelmed, feel that we have lost our way, lost our sense of purpose and lost control. We need guidance and support; someone that we can talk to; someone that will listen; someone that will help us get back on track. We may need help with relationships, as couples or individuals; coping with anxiety, stress or depression at home or in the workplace; self-esteem and assertiveness; anger management, life coaching and mentoring.

Male Therapists
As a man, why might I want to see a male therapist?
There are many reasons a man might wish to work with a male therapist, including a degree of shared identity, which may help client and therapist connect to each other and allow for a more free-flowing discussion of issues that can be deeply personal. Some men may feel more comfortable talking to a male therapist about relationship concerns, the pressures they feel around the roles society and family place on men, career or job challenges, self-esteem, or anger problems. For some men who have not had a male role models in their lives, a good male therapist may be especially helpful.
How can I find out about a therapist’s experience treating men?
Individuals looking for treatment should feel comfortable directly asking a therapist about their history treating men overall and the issues that arise in therapy with men. A good therapist will be happy to discuss such matters as well as their educational background, approach to treatment, and how they think they can aid a prospective client.
Can clients benefit from having a therapist of the same gender?
Therapy is not gender-specific, but some men as well as women feel more comfortable opening up about their experiences and history with therapists of a specific gender. An individual may feel that they have to explain less background information and be on the same page more quickly, particularly when discussing gender-specific challenges. That said, a good clinician can transcend most if not all gender concerns. Ultimately, the most important factor in therapy is the connection and trust the client is able to build with the practitioner.
Would a male therapist have specific training in treating men?
Generally, no. There are no certifications for treating men specifically, but there are continuing education classes that therapists may take that focus on treating men as a group. There are many therapists who focus on men and male issues in their treatment and therefore have experience and expertise in this domain.
