Through a client-led, relational approach — sometimes integrating EMDR and somatic work — you can work through past challenges and move forward with a stronger, more embodied you
You’ll be supported in navigating major life changes that may have left you feeling uncertain, disconnected, or challenged in your sense of self. Whether you’re facing relationship difficulties, pregnancy or postnatal issues, motherhood, or other life shifts, therapy can help you reconnect with who you are and move forward with clarity and confidence. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore how past experiences and childhood patterns have shaped your adult life, gaining insight, understanding, and tools to live more fully. I work to create a safe, embodied and client-led space for growth at my private practice in St. Leonards.

I'm a Clinical Psychologist (she/her) based in St Leonards, passionate about supporting teenagers and adults through trauma, anxiety, depression, people-pleasing, perfectionism, low self-esteem, and low self-worth. My approach is highly relational—the connection we build is central to the work. I believe meaningful change begins with self-understanding. As we develop awareness of our patterns, needs, and values, we can start to feel more grounded, shift long-held beliefs, heal the nervous system, and better navigate life’s challenges.

Using Schema Therapy, EMDR and CBT, I support adults who are ready to stop cycling through the same painful dynamics and start rewriting their story.
Choosing a therapist from the many, many options can feel overwhelming! It can be hard to know who to choose... Think of it less like picking a service and more like choosing someone you’ll be in a professional relationship with. A sense of ease/chemistry with the person truly matter. Here’s what it’s like to work with me: I’m warm but direct. I am passionate about helping people transform their lives.

If you’re living with complex conditions like POTS, Long COVID, MCAS, EDS, CFS, or Autoimmune disorders, your nervous system is likely in a constant state of high alert. When a body is stuck in a cycle of flares, exhaustion, and medical gaslighting, "just talking about it" often isn't enough. You can’t talk your way out of a physiological nervous system response. My practice is designed for those who have hit a wall with traditional talk therapy and are seeking a body-based, neuroaffirming approach to find stability again.

EMDR Therapists
Who is EMDR for?
EMDR was initially developed as a treatment for individuals with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for whom memories of a deeply distressing experience can be inadvertently triggered by random everyday events. The procedure has since been applied in the treatment of many other conditions. For example, it is used by some therapists to treat anxiety disorders including panic and phobias, depression, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and some personality disorders. It is suitable for adolescents and adults.

Why do people need EMDR?
People need EMDR as a way to manage distressing memories that in some way hamper the ability to function in the present. The procedure is believed to target the way memories are stored in the brain. Evidence indicates that past disturbing experiences cause ongoing distress because they were not adequately processed, and when such memories are triggered in the present, they are accompanied by all the emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations as the initial experience.

What problems does EMDR treat?
First and foremost, EMDR is intended as a treatment for PTSD, to defuse distressing memories that intrude on and impair everyday functioning. It is also often used to help those who are subject to panic attacks, phobias, and other forms of anxiety. In addition, EMDR has been used to treat individuals with depression, eating disorders, and personality disorders.

What happens in EMDR therapy?
First the therapist takes an individual’s history, and then the therapist and client decide which distressing experience(s) will be the target(s) of the exercise, delivered via a side-to-side visual stimulus requiring lateral eye movements. The client will be asked to activate thoughts, feelings, and any body sensations related to the troubling experience. The eye movements are said to reduce the emotional charge of the memory, so that the experience can then be safely discussed with the therapist and digested, minimising its ability to trigger anxiety.
