In addition, I specialise in couples therapy and psychosexual issues, supporting partners to communicate more effectively, rebuild trust, deepen intimacy.
Life can be both exciting and challenging. One of the greatest challenges is learning to be open and recognising that we often repeat the same mistakes, asking ourselves, “Why is this happening to me?” We develop patterns of behaviour that we unconsciously repeat, almost as if we are blindfolded. If you recognise that these patterns are affecting your life and the lives of those you love, I’m here to support you. If you are a man and see that your anger is impacting your family life and want to work through it, feel free to reach out.

When you don’t know what else to do, we can help you find safety, and ease the pain - of anxiety, depression, relationships, grief, and career.
Trauma includes memory and fear of both physical and emotional harm, esp when very young - scars that never heal. These can lead to anxiety and depression, addictions, broken relationships, without ever being fully understood. We can build a narrative that makes sense to you about your own life, why and how these things are connected. We can heal them.

Or you're an individual who finds relationships harder than they should be — anxious, guarded, or unsure why closeness feels so difficult.
I draw on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, and Attachment-based therapy — three of the most research-supported approaches for relationship healing. Together, we get underneath surface conflict to the emotional needs and patterns driving it, so real, lasting change becomes possible.

Whether you're navigating chronic illness, loss, burnout, anxiety, relationship difficulties, or a major life transition, counselling can provide a space to slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and find a way forward.
Life can be hard sometimes. Most people who contact me aren't broken or looking to be "fixed". They're often doing their best to cope with situations that would challenge anyone. I work with teenagers and young adults, people living with chronic illness, those navigating miscarriage and infant loss, carers experiencing burnout, and anyone feeling overwhelmed by life's challenges. Many of my clients are tired of carrying so much on their own and are looking for a space where they can be themselves without judgment.

FAQ - About Couples Therapy
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
