My own journey that included breast cancer, physical disability, break-up and loss of loved ones helps in my understand that life happens to all of us one way or another.
Hi, I’m Maggie. We all get stuck sometimes. I hope you can find a way to have a happy life. My 15 years teaching meditation and working with groups has given me a lot of experience aiding people as they grow, develop and find more joy. In recent times I has moved into the counselling arena. I believe that given the right circumstance we all have the potential to grow into the best versions of ourselves. No matter what you are going through, there is always a path back to peace and happiness. The first step is to make the choice to do something to help yourself. If you are here, that's a great start.

I work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and the sense of feeling stuck, disconnected, or overwhelmed. I’m especially interested in working with people who feel unsure about therapy, including men and others who may not have felt at home in more traditional therapeutic spaces.
My approach is thoughtful, grounded, collaborative, and informed by evidence-based practice. Together, we build a shared language for what you’re going through, making room to come up for air, understand the patterns you’re caught in, and find a way forward that feels more like your own.

I help people who feel stuck between who they are and who they feel they’re meant to be. Often, this shows up as anxiety, low mood, overthinking, or a sense of dissatisfaction that’s hard to explain. Therapy offers a place to pause, reflect, and understand these patterns—so they no longer quietly run your life.

I especially am drawn to those suffering loss in their lives.
My Major in is in grief therapy. I believe that talking about loved ones and openly treasuring memories is both beneficial and comforting. The end of life in no way translates to the end of a relationship. Understanding why we are suffering can help, as can talking to and sharing our emotional pain with others.

Grief Therapists
How long does therapy take for grief?
There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.
When should you seek therapy for grief?
Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.
Can grief be managed without therapy?
Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.
What happens if grief is left untreated?
Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
