You to feel more grounded during anxiety, panic, or overwhelm Improve sleep and create greater daily stability Recognise and change unhelpful patterns in relationships, study, or work, while developing healthier boundaries Work through grief, trauma, or major life changes at a manageable pace Build resilience, confidence, and a clearer sense of direction
I have a genuine respect for people and the complexity of what they carry. I value the opportunity to sit with you, understand your experience, and work alongside you through periods of challenge, uncertainty, and change. I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, relational difficulties, and emotional regulation challenges. I’m drawn to the moments in therapy where things begin to shift, when patterns become clearer, when someone feels truly heard, and when small changes start to open up something larger. At the heart of my work is a genuine love of people.

I help adults and adolescents break free from long‑standing patterns of anxiety, low mood, and relationship challenges to live a more satisfying life. Many of my clients have experienced persistent low mood, anxiety, or relationship challenges, and some have already engaged in therapy without achieving the lasting change they hoped for. Talking about problems helped, but they find themselves repeating the same patterns over and over and feel powerless to break free. I use CBT, ACT, DBT and schema therapy to help people break free from long standing patterns and move them towards the life they want to live.

I help adults heal from trauma, grief, and life transitions in a space that is safe, grounded, and genuinely human. Many people reach out when anxiety feels louder, loss feels overwhelming, or unhelpful patterns keep repeating. Therapy offers a place to slow down, understand what is happening beneath the surface, and work toward depth, clarity, healing, and a more satisfying way of living. Together, we combine practical tools with thoughtful exploration so change feels steady, meaningful, and sustainable.

For me, the heart of therapy is building a real, human connection. I like to keep the process authentic and, at times, a little unconventional—because no two people are the same, and neither is the way we work together. My role is to offer compassion, understanding, and steady support as we navigate whatever life is throwing your way. I believe in focusing on what’s gone right in your life—your wins, your strengths, and the moments you’ve already overcome—rather than only looking at setbacks. Every experience, whether uplifting or challenging, shapes who you are and can be a stepping stone toward who you want to become.

I provide support for adults experiencing midlife changes (e.g. perimenopausal depression and anxiety, stress and burnout, sleep and insomnia).
I also offer neuroaffirming Autism assessments for adults. This assessment is not deficits focused but is instead a collaborative process where we explore your experiences, interests, discoveries, preferences, strengths and differences to see if they align with an Autistic experience.

I work with adults and older adults struggling with insomnia, sleep anxiety, or poor sleep quality — often people who have tried other approaches without lasting results, or who sense something deeper is keeping their nervous system alert at night.
I specialise in insomnia and sleep disorders, drawing on CBT-I, Compassion Focused Therapy, ACT, and EMDR. My work focuses on understanding what the nervous system is doing when sleep won't come — and building lasting safety, not just better sleep habits. Telehealth across Australia, Tuesday to Thursday.

Once you know exactly ‘what’ to do you will quickly regain control, find your feet, and move forward. I have over 30 years experience helping people and have been a consultant in charge of a major hospital Psychology Clinic. I have also worked in an Anxiety Disorder Clinic, and Family Therapy Clinic. This level of expertise allows for accurate diagnosis and personalised treatment. I employ practical, tested methods. When you are under stress it is easy to fall into the trap of thinking that you are powerless and that this is just the way things are. You will start to believe, “I’m not as capable as I once was"

Sleep or Insomnia Therapists
How effective is treatment for insomnia?
The most effective treatments for insomnia are behavioral techniques that reduce anxiety, including anxiety about falling asleep, and allow the body’s natural cycles to be recalibrated. The most common treatment is cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), which researchers have found to be more useful than medication, with rates of success as high as 80 percent.

Are there specific medications for sleep problems?
There are many medications, both over-the-counter and prescription that treat sleep problems. Supplements such as melatonin are popular and may help, though there is little evidence that it is more effective than a placebo. Prescription medications such as zolpidem are sometimes prescribed.

Are there natural treatments for sleep problems?
There are many natural treatments for everyday sleep problems. Reducing blue-light emitting screens, setting a regular bedtime, regular exercise, reducing caffeine and nicotine consumption, and keeping the bedroom dark and cool at night are all lifestyle changes that can help those who struggle with sleep but may not reach the level of an insomnia diagnosis.

What’s the difference between having trouble falling asleep and insomnia?
Life events, stress, and anxiety can lead to sleepless nights for everyone from time to time. To be diagnosed with insomnia, a patient must experience trouble falling asleep, trouble remaining asleep, waking up too early, or non-restorative sleep at least three nights per week for at least one month. Sleep problems affect one-third to one-half of the population, while chronic insomnia affects about 10 to 15 percent of people.
