I draw from psychodynamic, narrative, parts-work, and somatic approaches to help clients explore the mind-body connection, make sense of their experiences, and process trauma with greater clarity and self-understanding.
I am a trauma-informed, neuro-affirming therapist who works with individuals and families affected by trauma, including domestic and family violence, coercive control, and relational trauma. I understand that trauma can affect every part of life, including relationships, parenting, self-worth, emotional wellbeing, and the way we experience the world around us. My aim is to offer a space where you feel safe, seen, and held with care — a space where you can begin to make sense of what you have been through, reconnect with yourself, and move toward healing at a pace that feels right for you.

People come for all sorts of reasons, this is a safe space for all! Some are going through something specific. Others are in a good place and want to understand themselves better, grow, or finally make a change they've been putting off. Athletes come to work on the mental side of performance. Professionals come when work has started to cost them something. Some people just want a space to think, with someone who'll actually listen. We will use evidence-based practice as our foundation, weaving in a more holistic feel so that therapy is a nuturing and soothing experience.

Clients may be struggling with anxiety, burnout, grief, relationship tension, or a general feeling of being disconnected — from themselves, others, or life purpose. Often, they’ve tried to “push through” but are now realizing they need support that goes deeper.

The goal of a psychologist, in my view, is to provide insight and understanding into the hidden parts of the self. My intention is to support my clients to develop their understanding of themselves, to learn the skills to persevere independently, and to heal themselves. I am open to working with all individuals and work with both adults and adolescents. I have a particular interest in working with the following presentations: • Confusion about identity, belonging and purpose • Experiences of adversity and trauma • Problematic or harmful behaviours • Addiction issues • Individuals involved in the justice system

As humans, we are simply not built to shoulder the burdens, pains and suffering in life alone. In this current day and age, relationships can feel fragmented as ever before, with loneliness at an all time high. My goal is to create a space of safety and reflection where we can work together through your issues. Clients often come to me with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues and self-esteem problems. I will meet you where you are whether you have a pre-existing diagnosis/diagnoses or are experiencing general dissatisfaction or flatness in life.

Are you in constant conflict with your partner? Do you find yourself disconnecting from each other over time? Relationship issues like conflicts are an integral part of a relationship. However, there is a good chance that the toxicity in the relationship has deeply wounded both. The needs of each other are ignored and arguments become less on the important issues as both are too emotionally detached to care anymore.

I have training in a number of therapy approaches but generally work from a Psychodynamic point of view.
In my work I have found that people are often exploring how to heal, how to hold overwhelming experience, how to find some relief and understanding in the midst of psychological distress, how to manage complexity in relationships. Each person has their own reasons for seeking therapy and their own sense of what they would like the process to provide. My commitment is to offer a confidential space where I listen to you with care and respect and where we work together to understand what you are experiencing.

Sometimes life can feel overwhelming and it can be difficult to see a way forward. We often spend our time ruminating on things we did or that happened to us in the past or we may spend time worrying about things that have yet to happen. This can prevent us from living as fully as possible. Engaging in therapy with a psychologist can offer fresh perspectives and equip you with valuable tools to navigate uncomfortable thoughts and feelings. I am a registered psychologist with a warm, empathic, and curious manner, who aims to collaborate with my clients to provide person-centered, evidence-based and trauma informed treatment.

Psychodynamic Therapists
Is psychodynamic therapy evidence-based?
Studies have found psychodynamic therapy to be effective in treating conditions like social anxiety, eating disorders, chronic pain, some personality disorders, and depression; indeed, some studies have found it to be just as effective as CBT or medication. What’s more, several studies have found that the benefits of psychodynamic therapy tend to endure—even grow—long after treatment has ended.

How long does psychodynamic therapy last?
Unlike CBT and other more structured forms of therapy, psychodynamic therapy tends to be open-ended and may not be limited to a set number of sessions. It is common for clients to be in therapy for a year or longer and to see their therapist one to three times a week, though the exact schedule and timeline may vary depending on a client’s challenges and progress. However, brief psychodynamic therapy is available, which tends to be more goal-oriented and typically unfolds over 16 to 30 sessions.

Does psychodynamic therapy work?
Research finds that psychodynamic therapy can help someone manage or reduce symptoms of diagnosable mental health conditions like depression or anxiety. The modality may also offer a range of benefits that are harder to measure but just as valuable—such as increased self-worth or healthier relationships. While no therapy type will work for everyone, research and anecdotal evidence suggest that psychodynamic therapy can be highly effective.

What are the limitations of psychodynamic therapy?
Some meta-analyses have concluded that there is little evidence to suggest that psychodynamic therapy can effectively treat certain mental health conditions such as PTSD, OCD, or psychosis, though it is sometimes used to do so. More broadly, the open-ended, free-association structure of psychodynamic therapy may be frustrating for clients who prefer a more structured, time-limited, or goal-oriented approach.
