I‘m passionate about helping people restore their sense of self-worth and confidence in order to regain control over their lives. I work with adults and adolescents in crisis, and people experiencing ongoing mental health issues (such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD) as a result of adversity, trauma, and violence. I empower individuals who have experienced adversity through exploring existing competencies, strengths and resilience. I’m person-centred, flexible and practical, ensuring you feel supported, and your needs are met in a non-judgemental and open environment. I work collaboratively with LGBTQIA+ and Indigenous communities

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or aware that something in your life isn’t quite right, you don’t have to navigate it on your own. Sometimes the experience is clear - stress, anxiety, low mood, or a difficult life transition. At other times, it can feel like something harder to name: a sense of disconnection, of being unsettled or out of alignment, maybe a quiet inner signal - a soul cry - asking for attention, care, and understanding. I have particular interest areas in supporting women, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and 20 and 30 somethings.

Families and adults come to me for clarity. Often a child is struggling at school, a teenager has hit a wall, or an adult has spent years sensing something was missed. Most of my work is assessment: autism, ADHD, FASD, cognitive, educational, memory, and broader neuropsychological assessment, for every age. I use gold-standard instruments, then take time to explain what the results mean and what to do next. I also work with vulnerable children and families in child protection and out-of-home care, and I see clients for trauma-informed therapy alongside assessment.

Their attempts to use the typical psychological skills and strategies from CBT or ACT don't work, not because of any personal failing, but because they haven't been able to identify the causes of their problem and because there is more to people than just simple thoughts, feelings and behaviours.
To help overcome this, I use a case formulation approach which involves answering four basic questions: First, what are your important life events, what happened to you? Second, how did it affect you, what impact did it have? Third, what sense did you make of it, why you? Fourth, what did you have to do to survive and did that work at the time but not now?

EMDR, Schema Therapy and ACT are the most common modalities used in sessions, though through exploration in the first few sessions which direction is best suited will be worked out together in line with your goals/what you would like.
Please know: I am currently not taking on any clients. Therapy can be a big step and decision and it is important that your therapist is someone you feel safe and supported by, that you are respected and so are your strengths and capacities. I work in a holistic and supportive way working with clients to heal, and achieve the outcomes that they choose. I have worked for a number of years with survivors of childhood sexual assault, adult sexual assault, intimate partner and other violence and also work with those who use violence.

I often utilise ACT and Schema Therapy when supporting my clients.
NOT accepting new clients! - Comprehensive adult autism/ADHD assessment, report, and ongoing coaching. Call/email to enquire! - - - My therapy clients are often in their 20s and 30s, navigating a period of reflection or change. They’ve started noticing patterns in their relationships, emotions, or behaviours that keep repeating and causing distress or unwanted outcomes. They want to understand why these patterns happen and how to change them. Some are facing major life transitions—such as a breakup, becoming a parent, or exploring their identity—while others simply feel ready to build deeper self-awareness and create lasting change.

The intersection of the following specific areas, or simply one of these more nuanced areas; people coping with trauma, understanding and managing their neurodivergence, the LGBTQIA+ community, addressing sexual health and intimacy issues, and trans-friendly and knowledgeable healthcare. 2). Everyday client concerns like managing anxiety, low mood, or relationship challenges. 3).
