You look like you're coping on the outside, but inside you're exhausted. You put others first, struggle to say no, overthink conversations, and worry about disappointing people. You may feel lost, disconnected from yourself, and unsure what you truly want. Many of my clients are women who feel stuck between who they are and who they've learned they need to be. Together, we uncover the patterns driving people-pleasing, perfectionism, self-doubt, anxiety, and burnout, helping you build healthier boundaries, self-trust, confidence, and a stronger sense of self.

Life can feel overwhelming when the world isn’t built for the way you think, feel, or process experiences. Many of my clients—children, teens, and adults—struggle with overwhelm, feeling out of control or unsafe, daily functioning, emotional regulation, identity, or relationships. Some seek support in navigating neurodivergence, while others face trauma, anxiety, or depression. Families often feel lost, unsure how to advocate for their children or themselves. My goal is to empower you with understanding, strategies, and confidence to move forward in a way that aligns with who you truly are.

Each of us is a unique being trying to navigate the world that was not build for us and our individual needs. That can feel overwhelming and we encounter blocks and obstacles that stop us from living a fulfilling life. I offer a space where you can explore your longings, desires, goals and blocks, in a presence of an attuned witness. A place to be heard and listened to, where you can cultivate trust and safety. Many of people that come to me- adults, teens and kids- seek support with neurodivergence, trauma, depression or anxiety. My wish is to support you with understanding and tools, so you can become your authentic self.

We all carry stories about who we are & how our experiences have shaped us. Sometimes those stories feel limiting or out of step with the person we want to become. I support children, young people, & adults to move through challenges using a blend of narrative therapy, kinesiology, & mind–body approaches. Together we explore what’s getting in the way, strengthen what’s already working, & create new possibilities for how you want to live. I have extensive experience supporting young people with school, learning, & emotional regulation, as well as adults navigating relationships, mental health, parenting, work & life transitions.

You may be navigating a cancer diagnosis, recovering from illness, or dealing with anxiety, trauma, grief or a major life transition. Or you may be struggling at work on your way to burnout. On the outside you may be coping, but internally things can feel uncertain, overwhelming or exhausting. You might be looking for a place where you can talk openly about what you're facing, make sense of difficult emotions, and find steadier ways to move forward. Many people also want support adjusting to life after treatment or reconnecting with meaning and direction after a challenging experience.

I offer a calm and grounded space for people navigating complexity; both around them and within. Many of the people I work with carry a lot, often quietly. They’re high-functioning, thoughtful, and deeply attuned to the needs of others but can feel unseen, overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them.

FAQ - About Therapy for Seniors
Is one ever too old for mental health therapy?
Individuals of all ages can benefit from mental health therapy. Indeed, older adults in particular may benefit from the social and psychological support a therapist can provide; the topics that older adults address in therapy may simply differ from those of younger clients. Seniors should seek out a therapist who has experience working with older individuals and who is well-versed in addressing common concerns among elderly individuals, such as depression, anxiety, loneliness, and physical mobility challenges.

How is counselling for elderly different from counselling for other age groups?
In general, counselling offers an opportunity for clients to process difficult life events and develop coping skills they can use outside of the therapy session. Therapists who specialise in working with elderly clients generally have the same framework but may place a special emphasis on specific topics, such as caregiver relationships and reducing loneliness. They may be specially equipped to deal with certain physical conditions or facilitate discussion surrounding end-of-life topics. Counselling for the elderly may also place a greater emphasis on social work-type topics to ensure that geriatric clients have access to necessary resources, such as food, a safe home environment, and healthcare.

How can therapy improve the quality of life of aging individuals?
Therapy for aging adults can greatly improve quality of life by providing an opportunity for them to process difficult emotions related to end-of-life, navigate relational or caregiver challenges, and develop coping skills for common mental health conditions, like anxiety or depression. Subsequent reductions in negative emotions and mental health disorder symptoms can make day-to-day living much more manageable for aging adults and those that care for them. The ongoing relationship with a trusted therapist can also help seniors combat loneliness and provide a sense of structure for their routine.

What are the qualities to look for in therapists who see seniors?
Seniors counsellors, like mental health counselors in general, should be kind, empathetic, skilled at listening, and knowledgeable about their particular area of expertise. Counsellors specialising in working with the senior population should be very familiar with the aging process in general and the common conditions that the elderly can face, such as dementia, depression, loneliness, and/or physical illness. Many senior counsellors are also well-equipped to help caregivers and families navigate the aging process of their loved ones, and they may draw on Interpersonal Therapy to help facilitate improved interactions between seniors and those that care for them.
