Sometimes life feels harder to carry than it once was. You may have been managing for a long time, doing your best to keep going, while something underneath, sometimes not even obvious, has become increasingly difficult. Maybe you're feeling anxious, overwhelmed, exhausted or just not your usual self. You may not even be sure what you need, only that you'd like things to feel better. But you know what? You don't need to have everything worked out before reaching out. Sometimes it helps just to have somewhere to begin: a place to slow things down, make sense of what's been happening, and find a way through that feels right for you.

I support individuals and couples who feel anxious, overwhelmed, burnt out, stuck in relationship patterns, or tired of holding everything together. Many clients look like they are coping on the outside, but feel exhausted underneath. Counselling with me is practical, honest and human, with space to understand what has been happening, what patterns are showing up, and what may need to change.

I work across the lifespan, and I love helping clients navigate those big life changes— adolescence into adulthood; career into retirement; or any of those big, overwhelming events that seem to just come with life.
I've worked across 3 Australian capital cities for over half a decade, working with Men, Women, High-net worth individuals and Young Adults, building careers, solving anxieties, and helping people navigate relationships. As a fellow ADHD'er, I particularly specialise in AuDHD, as well as anxiety, and childhood trauma.

I have experience working with complex PTSD, stress, family issues, family of origin difficulties, anxiety, teenagers as well as parents experiencing difficulties, burn out and overwhelm.
I’m a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist registered with PACFA. I don’t believe in clinical distance or wearing a mask of expertise that puts me above you. I meet you human-to-human — with empathy, honesty, and care. My approach is holistic and integrative, meaning I tailor our work to suit you, not the other way around. Together, we create a space where it’s safe to feel, to speak, to unravel — and ultimately, to grow. I bring both evidence-based modalities and deep compassion to each session, weaving in practices that support not only the mind, but the body, heart, and soul. You don’t have to do it alone.

You might be starting to feel like something is off, or you're not able to be your true self. Like life is becoming too complex or overwhelming to cope with. You might notice changes in your relationships with loved ones, co-workers, or friends, accompanied with feeling less motivated, connected, or present than you once were. You may have tried turning to the things that once brought you joy, but found limited success and are left feeling burnt out and stuck. You might be able to picture what a balanced life looks like, but struggle with creating real change.

You might be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or carrying the weight of past experiences that are difficult to make sense of. This could show up as anxiety, low mood, emotional reactivity, or a sense that something isn't quite right. Perhaps you've been coping for a long time but want more than just getting by. Many people I work with are seeking clarity, relief, and a greater sense of peace. They want to move forward without the past continuing to shape how they feel or function.

I am a PACFA‑registered counsellor who supports adults, adolescents, couples, and families through a compassionate, trauma‑informed, and relational approach.
Drawing on attachment theory, family systems, psychodynamic principles, and Polyvagal‑informed practice, I help clients make sense of their internal world — their emotions, somatic cues, patterns of protection, and core beliefs. Together, we explore how past experiences shape present‑day relationships, and how the body often speaks before words do.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
