My approach informed by many modalities including expressive therapies (such as art therapy), DBT, somatic therapy and mindfulness.
I’m a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist registered with PACFA. I don’t believe in clinical distance or wearing a mask of expertise that puts me above you. I meet you human-to-human — with empathy, honesty, and care. My approach is holistic and integrative, meaning I tailor our work to suit you, not the other way around. Together, we create a space where it’s safe to feel, to speak, to unravel — and ultimately, to grow. I bring both evidence-based modalities and deep compassion to each session, weaving in practices that support not only the mind, but the body, heart, and soul. You don’t have to do it alone.

I like to bring both of our humanness to the therapy space. Messiness, with no judgment. I welcome tissue-filled tears, and embodied emotion, raw reflection, and a light touch of humour. The Kind Collective is a safe and secure space for healing, where you are invited to show up authentically, and you can trust that as your therapist, I will do the same. We move away from the textbook because life is never that scripted, and don’t approach with a one-size-fits-all, instead meeting you where you are, honouring and holding space for your unique story and needs.

I'm a trauma-informed counsellor with extensive experience in DBT.
Many people come to counselling feeling stuck in survival mode. They are overwhelmed, constantly overthinking, emotionally reactive, or caught in the same relationship patterns they promised themselves they would not repeat. I work with people who are tired of analysing everything and still feeling the same. In our work together, we slow things down so you can understand what is driving your reactions, regulate your emotions, and respond differently with more clarity, control, and self-trust.

If you’re an adult who is going through a difficult time, or who’s spent years pushing through—masking, overthinking, and feeling “too much” or not enough—you’re not alone. People reach out for many reasons: anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, burnout, or simply wanting to understand themselves better. Due to lived experience, I also have a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals and those impacted by complex trauma (CPTSD). Whatever brings you here, you may be looking for clarity, steadier emotions, and support that actually fits you.

I like to take a psychodynamic approach, often relying on the foundations of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy ( DBT).
Hi, my name is Nadine. I'm a psychologist and psychotherapist. I believe that our relationship with ourselves is the single most important relationship we will hold throughout our lifetime. For this reason, my work focuses on how to have a better relationship with ourselves and live a life in line with our values and goals. In doing so, I hope to make my role redundant as you gain the skills needed to withstand any challenge and obstacle you may face throughout your life. I hope that I can be a part of your recovery and growth to better mental health.

Dialectical Behaviour (DBT) Therapists
Who is DBT for?
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is designed for people who experience extreme emotional suffering because they lack the skills of emotion regulation and distress tolerance. The basic affliction can underlie a wide range of conditions, from borderline and other personality disorders to PTSD and treatment-resistant anxiety and depression. The therapy is helpful to those whose emotional reactivity is so intense it is disruptive to everyday functioning and leads to frequent crises.

Why do people need DBT?
The ability to regulate emotions is a core psychological skill that enables people to function in life and pay attention to the world outside themselves; it is consistently associated with well-being. DBT is designed to help people learn how to manage and regulate their emotions. Originally developed to treat people with borderline personality disorder whose extreme emotional suffering led to self-harming behaviour and suicide attempts, the therapy is now applied to other conditions involving emotion dysregulation, particularly when other treatments have failed.

What happens in DBT?
Individuals meet weekly with their therapist to discuss their experiences relating to moods, behaviour, and skills. Using checklists they maintain, they review emotional experiences and positive practices they engage in. The diaries help individuals discern what led up to a specific problem encountered, this is followed by discussion of the consequences of their actions. In addition, individuals may meet in class-like small groups to learn skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance.

How long does DBT last?
Because it is intended to establish long-lasting behavioural change among those with persistent problems, DBT is designed to last six months to a year. DBT includes both weekly sessions of individual therapy and weekly skills-training sessions conducted in small groups. Studies of DBT have documented improvement within a year of treatment, particularly in controlling self-harmful behaviour; nevertheless, individuals may require therapy for several years.
