“I am so looking forward to getting to know you as a unique individual, and working together to create the life you wish for. I believe that creating sustainable change is only possible when working with people holistically. I have always cringed at traditional, clinical styles of therapy, so instead I am committed to treating you as a real person and working together to help you live your best life. I love it when people take a proactive approach to their mental health. There isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t appreciate how much of a privilege it is to get to know my clients and work together with them in a meaningful way"

I am a Clinical Psychologist with 15 years of experience. I am incredibly passionate about supporting women in all stages of their life, including fertility, pre-natal/postnatal period, first time mothers, empty nesters, retirees etc. I've also supported many people through their depression, grief and anxiety (social anxiety, generalised anxiety, panic, agoraphobia), especially those who are experiencing mental health issues for the first time. It can be frightening not knowing whether, what you're feeling is normal, and whether you would recover. Getting help early on, from experienced mental health professionals is very important.

Therapy for multicultural Australians navigating life between cultures
You might feel like you're always switching between worlds — at home, at work, and within yourself. Maybe you’re carrying cultural expectations you didn’t choose. You might feel stuck in cycles of self-doubt, disconnected in relationships, or just emotionally exhausted trying to hold everything together.
If this resonates, you're in the right place.
I work with people from multicultural backgrounds, especially second or third-generation Australians and children of migrants, who want to feel more in control, more grounded, and more at ease in themselves.

We're available internationally for symptoms of avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID), paediatric feeding disorders (PFD), baby bottle or feeding tube dependence (tube weaning), food selectivity ('picky'/'fussy' eaters), mealtime behaviour, skills (utensils, cup drinking, chewing), medication refusal, and pica.

“Everyone has their own unique experiences and so the challenges that each person presents with is specific. Sometimes we might find it challenging to make progress with problems that arise in the present because we become reliant on our defence mechanisms that reinforce our pain. I believe when we truly feel supported and cared for, we become better equipped to explore ourselves, our inner experiences (emotions, thoughts and behaviours) and gain a clearer understanding of our individual needs and what is important.” - Sha Mazaheri

Most issues that people experience have their origins in childhood when developmental needs were not met. Most parents mean well and do their best but because our culture is generally ignorant about the early needs of children the child has to learn how to adapt. For example a parent because of their upbringing may be easily angered. One way is for the child to move towards the parent by always trying to please the parent to ward off an angry episode. That is the behavior and the belief is "I have to be good or mummy will not love me." This establishes a mode that may not be helpful in later life in intimate relationships.
