In addition to the wide range of therapeutic techniques I use, I offer Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). I am also an animal lover and believe in integrating animals into therapy, when appropriate, as this type of therapy can provide soothing, healing and comfort for individual clients.

Life can feel heavy when you’re trying to figure out who you are, balance work pressures, or meet family and cultural expectations. Many young adults I see are carrying the weight of caring for others—especially family members with disability—while struggling to care for themselves. I understand these challenges deeply, both personally and professionally. That’s why I created The Feel Project—a safe and supportive space where young adults can explore identity, navigate cultural expectations, and build confidence to live authentically.

Life can sometimes feel confusing and overwhelming, leaving us unsure of where to go next or what to do. In those moments, the sense of being stuck can be unsettling, making us question everything. Our thoughts, feelings, and actions may feel unclear. Yet, there's a part of us that yearns to grow—a curious part that seeks to learn and evolve through these experiences. This part wants to develop emotional resilience, embrace uncertainty, and foster greater self-awareness. Ultimately, it's the part that strives to become the most authentic and reliable version of ourselves.

My ideal clients are children, adolescents, adults, and older adults seeking support with anxiety, depression, stress, emotional regulation, neurodiversity (including ADHD and ASD), substance use, and life transitions.
I use evidence-based approaches tailored to each person’s needs. I believe people already have strengths, resources, and potential solutions within themselves or their lives. My role is to help uncover these, make sense of challenges, build practical skills, and support meaningful, lasting change in a collaborative and respectful way.

Are you experiencing self doubt, anxiety, stress and feel stuck. Do you need to talk to someone who cares enough to listen and support you towards change you want to experience? Sharing struggles and offloading can help one see things in a different light and work towards the desired changes. Looking into past experiences, learnt behaviors and unhelpful thoughts and how they entrap us, can bring healing and set us free to pursue what we desire.

Perhaps your relationship feels stuck. Maybe the same arguments keep happening, communication has become difficult, or life simply feels heavier than it once did. Many of the people I work with are couples feeling disconnected or individuals trying to make sense of stress, relationships, or major life challenges. I also work with anxiety, life transitions and questions about where to go from here. Alongside private practice, I lecture in the Discipline of Counselling at the University of Notre Dame Australia and bring many years of experience in counselling, relationship education and family support.

If we are left to face our problems alone, we can fall into a downward spiral. Sharing your concerns with me or with another professional will help you to assess and address them. You can go further in life by unloading some of the emotional weight you have been carrying for so long. Let me help you improve your life.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
