I work with clients who have experienced trauma that they are unable to release.
I am an IFS informed, Clinical Somatic Psychotherapist. I work with domestic and international clients (individuals and couples), many of whom are neurodiverse. I support many high creatives and those who navigate life in public profile roles, which often come with addictions. We work together with all parts, understanding both the spoken and unspoken journey. My clients are amazing in their passion for self-discovery; they are not broken needing to be fixed - they just need their parts witnessed in a confidential and trusting space.

If you are struggling and don't know how to get back to your authentic self, you are not alone. From a young age, this authentic self needs to be taken care of. If we grow up without this care, as adults we may feel flat and unmotivated, we may find it difficult to make friends, we may struggle to understand and process our emotions, and we may forget to take care of ourselves because we feel unimportant. I provide a space for you to express the grief and suffering that comes from not receiving such care. Over time, I hope you can learn that you are greater than your suffering.

I tend to work with my clients at a deeper level, by exploring emotions and unmet needs, as well as by processing past trauma for those who wish to do so.
Hello! I am a multilingual AuDHD Clinical Psychologist with a special interest in providing neurodiversity-affirming psychotherapy to adults who are (or who believe they might be) autistic and/or ADHD. I combine several evidence-based therapy modalities to collaboratively create a treatment plan that is carefully tailored to the person’s neurotype, goals and capacity in terms of their available energy levels. If you have experienced the more traditional forms of therapy as neuro-normative and it did not quite resonate with you, please get in touch. I would love to hear from you.

I specialise in trauma recovery, life transitions and helping you face challenges that seem overwhelming.
Each person's experience is unique. You might be struggling with past hurts, experiencing challenging thoughts, have feelings of self-sabotage or that no matter what you do, you end up in the same relationships and repeating the same patterns. The answers lie within you and I can help you uncover them. I bring non-judgemental acceptance, belief in your resilience, and compassion to the journey that we embark on together. I will support you to find the patterns and behaviours in your life that no longer serve you.

I am a registered Psychotherapist and Counsellor experienced in supporting people dealing with anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, grief, addiction, health, family and work challenges, and relationship issues.
I am guided by the idea that we all have an inner wisdom and innate abilities of self-leadership, but sometimes we can become stuck in self-limiting patterns, thoughts, beliefs, and behaviours. Furthermore, at different times in our lives many of us will be faced with a mental health issue or major life challenge such as death and other losses, mental or physical health concerns, substantial change, work stress and relationship conflict. In these types of situations, we can benefit from working with a trained professional to help navigate through, find new solutions and increase self-awareness and wellbeing.

Trauma and PTSD Counsellors

When should I seek treatment for trauma?

Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?

Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?

Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?

It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
