My goal is to reduce the stigma around help seeking. I help people feel heard and validated by addressing issues like anxiety, depression, self-esteem, healing the inner child and attachment wounds, practising effective communication skills, changing careers and more. As a culturally and linguistically diverse therapist, I have a unique understanding of the challenges and difficulties many families face in Australia, I am here to help, guide and support. For your convenience I offer flexible hours (including evening and weekends) over video or phone. My approach is a mix of science and creativity.

You may look like you’re coping, but inside you feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or not good enough. You might turn to food for comfort, control, or relief, then feel shame, guilt, or self-criticism afterwards. Many of the women I work with carry the impact of early trauma, emotional neglect, or difficult mother–daughter relationships that continue to shape how they feel about themselves. Some feel stuck in patterns they don’t understand, while others are quietly asking, “who am I, really?” and longing for a deeper, more meaningful connection with themselves, their body, and their inner world.

People I often work with have been impacted by trauma or long-term stress and feel stuck in survival mode. They may experience intense emotions, identity confusion, or long-standing personality patterns that make relationships and daily life feel hard to manage. On the outside they may appear to be coping, while inside feeling anxious, overwhelmed, shut down, or constantly on edge. They are seeking trauma-informed support that feels safe and not rushed, and want to feel more regulated, understood, and able to live with greater stability, connection, and self-compassion.

I work best with individuals who are motivated for change but feel stuck. Often presenting with anxiety, stress, burnout, or life transitions. They come feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. Many are high-functioning yet internally overwhelmed, seeking clarity, emotional regulation, and direction. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to start, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I offer a supportive, non-judgmental space to make sense of what you’re experiencing and find a way forward.

I work with clients struggling with anxiety, depression anger and relationship challenges.
Those closest to me would describe me as a kind and caring person who is a very good listener. I believe that’s because I’ve experienced my own share of life’s challenges and emotional pain. I’ve had times of feeling overwhelmed, hopeless, lost and alone. Through it all, my saving grace has been the support of some amazing counsellors and supervisors. It is these experiences that have inspired me to be the helper I am today. I’ve spent the past 22 years learning how to best help and offer hope to those in need. You can see a list of my credentials and experience here.

People often arrive with a cocktail of symptoms, including Depression, Anxiety, Anger issues, substance abuse, etc.
Most therapists aren't specifically trained in trauma, and many who are may rely on just one trauma-specific technique within a general talk therapy framework. I do things differently. Trauma therapy is what I specialize in. I’m trained in multiple trauma-specific methods as well as Neuropsychotherapy, so I can adapt the work to meet your unique nervous system and needs, not the other way around. Take the first step towards healing from Trauma, reducing Anxiety and Depression, and enhancing your quality of life.

Anger Management Therapists
How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.

How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.

Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.

What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
