I support adults, teens, and children ready to move beyond 'just talking'—you want insight and actionable steps for lasting change. With 5+ years in psychiatric wards (crisis), prisons (forensic setting), refugee services (trauma), and women's refuges (abuse), I've helped clients navigate trauma, family conflict, and emotional pain that feels stuck. Whether you're a parent worried about your child's withdrawal, a professional battling burnout, or someone repeating relationship patterns, we'll uncover why these struggles persist. I've done my own deep work too, so you get a therapist who truly gets it, with tools that actually work.

Hello! I am Jordi, the director of Jigsaw Psychology & Assessment. I would describe myself as highly empathetic, easy to talk to, but as someone who can also be direct when needed. I have a keen interest in helping people understand and work through the true causes of anxiety; understanding and processing trauma; and also working with neurodivergent people. While I am well trained in CBT, and frequently utilise it, I am also interested in what is underlying presenting concerns, and how to best tackle them. This can look different depending on the client, but it is always something I am keen to explore.

You may be carrying pain that’s hard to put into words. Perhaps it’s the echo of past trauma, the fog of anxiety or depression, or the quiet ache of grief that doesn’t seem to shift. Maybe you’ve spent years trying to hold everything together, all while feeling like you’re falling apart inside. You’re tired—of the overthinking, the emotional numbness, the disconnect in your relationships, the constant inner critic. You long for relief, but more than that, you want clarity, self-compassion, and a sense of wholeness.

There are times in our lives when we get that sinking feeling that something is not right. Such moments often follow major life events, such as grieving for a loved one, the break-up of a relationship, moving countries, facing health issues or even children leaving home and retirement. Other times, they appear from nowhere. Resulting feelings can be so pervasive that they impact our mental, emotional and physical well-being, creating conflict in relationships and impact our ability to function. They may also start manifesting in one’s seeking isolation, inability to see joy in life and can lead to depressive conditions.

Couples therapy offers a space to reconnect when you’re caught in patterns of distance, tension, or misunderstanding. You might feel like you’re walking on eggshells, having the same fights, or living more like roommates than partners. Maybe trust feels fragile, affection has faded, or you can’t seem to reach each other no matter how hard you try. Beneath the frustration, you both long to feel safe, desired, and understood, to find your way back to the love that once felt easy.

What brings someone to therapy is sometimes very clear, there is some issue or problem in their life that is hurting very much that drives them to seek help. For others it could be a vague restlessness, a sense of boredom or emptiness that pushes them to try to figure things out. Regardless what brings you to therapy, I endeavour to meet you exactly where you are, with compassion and without judgment. I take time to truly connect with you to ensure that you feel heard and understood.

Senior leaders, busy professionals and creative entrepreneurs need to manage an unprecedented range of competing demands across their personal and professional lives. The pressure can be relentless, and career success can come at a high cost. Stress can have serious impacts on mental health, family relationships and physical well-being. Travel and work schedules can undermine marriages/partnerships and parenting. It makes sense to invest in your resilience, wellbeing and self care because resilient leaders achieve more.

You might be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or carrying the weight of past experiences that are difficult to make sense of. This could show up as anxiety, low mood, emotional reactivity, or a sense that something isn't quite right. Perhaps you've been coping for a long time but want more than just getting by. Many people I work with are seeking clarity, relief, and a greater sense of peace. They want to move forward without the past continuing to shape how they feel or function.

Heya, I’m Sagar! I understand how nerve-wracking it can be to walk into a psychologist’s office. That’s why I aim to be warm, empathetic and approachable, to build a genuine relationship as the foundation of our therapeutic process. I work across the lifespan, and I love helping clients navigate those big life changes— adolescence into adulthood; career into retirement; or any of those big, overwhelming events that seem to just come with life. My approach is to give clients insight into their thoughts & emotions, warmth and space to help process and heal, then collaboratively create tools and strategies to lay problems to rest.

Male Counsellors

As a man, why might I want to see a male therapist?

There are many reasons a man might wish to work with a male therapist, including a degree of shared identity, which may help client and therapist connect to each other and allow for a more free-flowing discussion of issues that can be deeply personal. Some men may feel more comfortable talking to a male therapist about relationship concerns, the pressures they feel around the roles society and family place on men, career or job challenges, self-esteem, or anger problems. For some men who have not had a male role models in their lives, a good male therapist may be especially helpful.

How can I find out about a therapist’s experience treating men?

Individuals looking for treatment should feel comfortable directly asking a therapist about their history treating men overall and the issues that arise in therapy with men. A good therapist will be happy to discuss such matters as well as their educational background, approach to treatment, and how they think they can aid a prospective client.

Can clients benefit from having a therapist of the same gender?

Therapy is not gender-specific, but some men as well as women feel more comfortable opening up about their experiences and history with therapists of a specific gender. An individual may feel that they have to explain less background information and be on the same page more quickly, particularly when discussing gender-specific challenges. That said, a good clinician can transcend most if not all gender concerns. Ultimately, the most important factor in therapy is the connection and trust the client is able to build with the practitioner.

Would a male therapist have specific training in treating men?

Generally, no. There are no certifications for treating men specifically, but there are continuing education classes that therapists may take that focus on treating men as a group. There are many therapists who focus on men and male issues in their treatment and therefore have experience and expertise in this domain.
