Our ideal client is someone who recognises that life’s challenges, whether personal, professional, or situational, don’t have to be faced alone. They may be experiencing mood or relationship difficulties. Others may be navigating more specific challenges, such as performance pressures, work conflict, or the legal system. Some come to us at a crossroads in life, unsure how to move forward but needing a safe, confidential space to be heard without judgment, and for practical, evidence-based psychological strategies that genuinely fit their lifestyle. Their goal is clarity, resilience, and meaningful change.

Many professionals and people in high-demand roles appear to be coping well, yet privately experience anxiety, burnout, or a persistent sense that something isn’t quite right. I work with adults navigating sustained pressure, unrelenting standards, and complex responsibilities, supporting greater clarity, emotional regulation, and more sustainable ways of working and living. My approach is calm, structured, and practical, helping clients think more clearly under pressure and respond rather than react in challenging situations.

I apply various therapeutic methodologies such as Family Systems, Emotionally Focused, and Schema therapy to help you understand why you are triggered by certain interactions and how to change your maladaptive coping behaviours.
Are you constantly asking yourself: ‘Why can't we stop fighting?’ ‘Why do I feel disrespected/unimportant?’ ‘Why am I dissatisfied with my life?’ 'Why do I feel anxious?'. If these thoughts are recurring often, individual, couple or family counselling will help you gain clarity, improve communication and create a more satisfied life. Strong, healthy relationships, whether social or intimate, have a positive impact on our physical and mental well-being. People with poor relationships are more likely to suffer from depression and loneliness. Living in conflict or within a toxic relationship is more damaging than being on your own.

I utilise a solution-focused, integrative approach, including CBT, ACT, Schema Therapy and EMDR.
You may be navigating a difficult life transition, managing a complex personal history, or seeking a truly affirmative space within the LGBTQIA+ community. Many of my clients feel "stuck" in cycles of persistent stress, relationship conflict, or emotional exhaustion and want more than just a listener; they want a clear strategy for change. Your goal is to move past the mental fog to regain a sense of purpose and connection. You need a professional who understands that your well-being is tied to your values and that you deserve a life where you feel in control, rather than just reacting to the next challenge.

I find that people often come to therapy because they are stuck. They could be struggling with their mood, with their fears, with addiction, with relationship issues, with stress. Whatever the issue, they don’t understand why they are stuck and, despite their best efforts, they don’t know how to become unstuck. Their attempts to use the typical psychological skills and strategies from CBT or ACT don't work, not because of any personal failing, but because they haven't been able to identify the causes of their problem and because there is more to people than just simple thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

With years of clinical experience across hospital and private settings, and training in EMDR, CBT, DBT, and Schema Therapy, I offer grounded, evidence-based support to help you create lasting and meaningful change.
Life can be difficult at times - navigating work, friendships, family and your own interests. You get through the day but go to bed feeling empty. You may be stuck in emotional and behavioural patterns shaped by upbringing and expectations that once kept you safe but now hold you back. If you want to honour your values and culture while honouring yourself - understanding how the past shaped you, unlearning what no longer serves you, and building a life that feels authentic, balanced, and true to who you are - I may be the right fit for you.

Schema Therapy
How does schema therapy work?
Schema therapy is based on the idea that maladaptive thought patterns formed in childhood—that other people can never be relied on, for example—can interfere with healthy functioning in adulthood. Accordingly, schema therapy works by directly targeting such unhealthy schemas, identifying their consequences, and replacing them with more adaptive ways of thinking. To this end, schema therapists aim to “reparent” the client by offering what they didn’t get in childhood—validation, for instance, or compassion—to reorient their worldview.

Is schema therapy evidence-based?
Schema therapy is still considered relatively new, and research on its efficacy is still in progress. However, some studies have concluded that it can be effective at treating certain mental health conditions, most notably personality disorders such as borderline personality disorder. Evidence for its efficacy in treating conditions like depression, anxiety, PTSD, and OCD is promising but less conclusive, and experts warn that much of the existing research is of low quality.

Is schema therapy a type of CBT?
Schema therapy is based on many principles of CBT, most notably the process of recognising and challenging maladaptive thought patterns. But because schema therapy also draws from other approaches, including psychoanalysis and Gestalt therapy, it is not considered a form of CBT. It also typically delves deeper into the client’s childhood than does CBT.

How does schema therapy work?
Schema therapy does not call for a set number of sessions and is instead open-ended, with the treatment timeline depending on the client’s primary concern(s), progress, and preferences. Treatment that lasts between six months and two years is common, though many clients will start to see progress much earlier than that.
