I integrate Focusing, Somatic EMDR, ACT, NeuroAffective Touch and other somatic approaches, choosing what best supports you in each moment.
By the time many people find me, they're often exhausted. They've worked incredibly hard to feel better, yet something still isn't shifting. Many have tried therapy, read the books, practised mindfulness, or explored nervous system and body-based approaches. Some things may even have helped for a while. But life still feels harder than it should. If you're wondering why you're still struggling, you're not alone. I work with people who are tired of fighting themselves and ready for a different approach.

Combining psychodynamic therapy, EMDR, family systems, and elements of CBT, I help clients understand how past experiences shape the present, fostering deeper self-awareness and more meaningful relationships.
I work with adults struggling with relationships and difficult events in their past, trying to understand why anxiety and other intense emotions have such a big impact on their lives, and what they can do about it. They may feel stuck, disconnected, or caught in repeating patterns they can’t explain.

When you've spent so long trying to keep the peace or make sense of someone else's behaviour, it's easy to lose sight of yourself. You may be navigating a relationship shaped by narcissistic traits, recovering from domestic/family violence, or managing family conflict that has left you questioning your reality. Our work together isn't about labelling or diagnosing the people in your life. Rather, making sense of what you've lived through and how it has shaped the way you see yourself and your relationships. Together, we'll gently untangle patterns like self-doubt, people pleasing, and hypervigilance with curiosity and compassion.

Using Schema Therapy, EMDR and CBT, I support adults who are ready to stop cycling through the same painful dynamics and start rewriting their story.
Choosing a therapist from the many, many options can feel overwhelming! It can be hard to know who to choose... Think of it less like picking a service and more like choosing someone you’ll be in a professional relationship with. A sense of ease/chemistry with the person truly matter. Here’s what it’s like to work with me: I’m warm but direct. I am passionate about helping people transform their lives.

I draw on EMDR, Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems and somatic approaches to work with the parts of you that talking alone hasn't reached.
My work suits people who are self-aware, motivated, and ready to go beyond insight into genuine, lasting change. People who sense there is more to their inner life than they have yet been able to access. This isn't therapy that stays on the surface. It goes somewhere.

Using Somatic EMDR, talk therapies, and mindfulness, we work so you can notice and regulate your nervous system, understand patterns, and cultivate self-compassion and self-worth by changing your inner narrative.
I work with sensitive, empathetic adults who are high-functioning, perfectionistic, and self-critical, often shaped by harsh or unpredictable parenting. If you appear composed but carry shame, self-criticism, or unprocessed emotions, therapy can be a space to gently explore old patterns at a pace that feels manageable and never forced. Using trauma-informed talk, somatic techniques, meditation, and interoception-building skills, we process triggers and stuck emotions. This work cultivates long-term self-compassion and embodied awareness, helping you build a grounded, lasting sense of self-worth.

EMDR Therapists
Who is EMDR for?
EMDR was initially developed as a treatment for individuals with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for whom memories of a deeply distressing experience can be inadvertently triggered by random everyday events. The procedure has since been applied in the treatment of many other conditions. For example, it is used by some therapists to treat anxiety disorders including panic and phobias, depression, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and some personality disorders. It is suitable for adolescents and adults.

Why do people need EMDR?
People need EMDR as a way to manage distressing memories that in some way hamper the ability to function in the present. The procedure is believed to target the way memories are stored in the brain. Evidence indicates that past disturbing experiences cause ongoing distress because they were not adequately processed, and when such memories are triggered in the present, they are accompanied by all the emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations as the initial experience.

What problems does EMDR treat?
First and foremost, EMDR is intended as a treatment for PTSD, to defuse distressing memories that intrude on and impair everyday functioning. It is also often used to help those who are subject to panic attacks, phobias, and other forms of anxiety. In addition, EMDR has been used to treat individuals with depression, eating disorders, and personality disorders.

What happens in EMDR therapy?
First the therapist takes an individual’s history, and then the therapist and client decide which distressing experience(s) will be the target(s) of the exercise, delivered via a side-to-side visual stimulus requiring lateral eye movements. The client will be asked to activate thoughts, feelings, and any body sensations related to the troubling experience. The eye movements are said to reduce the emotional charge of the memory, so that the experience can then be safely discussed with the therapist and digested, minimising its ability to trigger anxiety.
