Every person's journey is unique, and I like to understand the background and goals of the people I support to ensure together we create a personalised therapy plan tailored to them. I work with adults, and adolescents and I have a strong interest in supporting people navigating anxiety, grief and loss, PTSD, developmental trauma, CTPSD and the myriad of life's challenges. My approach is twofold: I believe in equipping you with immediate tools to cope with present concerns, while also delving into the roots of these issues – be it past events, deep-seated beliefs, or coping mechanisms – to pave the way for a brighter future.

Many people who come to LEXs are capable, thoughtful, and exhausted from holding it together for a long time. They may be living with anxiety, relationship strain, grief, or a quiet sense of disconnection that is hard to explain. Conflict feels overwhelming, emotions are difficult to express, and stress seeps into work, intimacy, and self-worth. They are not looking for another technique; they want to feel understood, steadier in themselves, and safer in their relationships. My work is informed by lived and living experience of caregiving, migration, disability, & suicide bereavement, alongside senior practice & systems-level roles.

You're a busy, highly achieving professional and you're getting tired. Possibly burning out. You're feeling more negative these days and you're struggling sometimes to bring your usual 'A game' to what you do. You've tried holidays, 'self care' and self-help, but nothing seems to do much to move you out of the gloom. You feel stuck. And you're worried, because this can't continue. You want to get your mojo back, continue to achieve greatly, and make a positive difference. Joyfully. Your work matters, and you want to be all you can be. You want to thrive. But how do you even begin to get back to who you truly are?

Many of us were raised with the notion that experiencing psychological, emotional or relationship difficulties meant that we were somehow broken; or that seeking help is a sign of weakness. I don’t subscribe to this belief. Reaching out is brave, and I am yet to talk to a person that hasn’t had their share of personal challenges. You are not broken, you are human; and therapy is not about fixing, it’s about healing.

Life can feel overwhelming when the world isn’t built for the way you think, feel, or process experiences. Many of my clients—children, teens, and adults—struggle with overwhelm, feeling out of control or unsafe, daily functioning, emotional regulation, identity, or relationships. Some seek support in navigating neurodivergence, while others face trauma, anxiety, or depression. Families often feel lost, unsure how to advocate for their children or themselves. My goal is to empower you with understanding, strategies, and confidence to move forward in a way that aligns with who you truly are.

Sleep or Insomnia Therapists
How effective is treatment for insomnia?
The most effective treatments for insomnia are behavioral techniques that reduce anxiety, including anxiety about falling asleep, and allow the body’s natural cycles to be recalibrated. The most common treatment is cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), which researchers have found to be more useful than medication, with rates of success as high as 80 percent.

Are there specific medications for sleep problems?
There are many medications, both over-the-counter and prescription that treat sleep problems. Supplements such as melatonin are popular and may help, though there is little evidence that it is more effective than a placebo. Prescription medications such as zolpidem are sometimes prescribed.

Are there natural treatments for sleep problems?
There are many natural treatments for everyday sleep problems. Reducing blue-light emitting screens, setting a regular bedtime, regular exercise, reducing caffeine and nicotine consumption, and keeping the bedroom dark and cool at night are all lifestyle changes that can help those who struggle with sleep but may not reach the level of an insomnia diagnosis.

What’s the difference between having trouble falling asleep and insomnia?
Life events, stress, and anxiety can lead to sleepless nights for everyone from time to time. To be diagnosed with insomnia, a patient must experience trouble falling asleep, trouble remaining asleep, waking up too early, or non-restorative sleep at least three nights per week for at least one month. Sleep problems affect one-third to one-half of the population, while chronic insomnia affects about 10 to 15 percent of people.
