I find that these people are often misunderstood by others, which leads to them misunderstanding themselves and the origin of their difficulties.

Sometimes making that first contact for counselling is the hardest part, but once you've made that step, you will realise that you can work at your own pace, and feel safe as you build trust in the relationship with a counsellor. Speaking with someone can help to alleviate the anxiety, and help by giving you tools, strategies, and a place to talk with someone who provides a safe, non-judgemental space. The chronic pain conditions I treat include: Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, Chronic Low Back Pain and others. Some chronic pain conditions defy being labelled. Most clients can expect a substantial reduction in their symptoms or to become completely symptom free.
