I offer therapy in person, via telehealth, or video.
You might be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or carrying the weight of past experiences that are difficult to make sense of. This could show up as anxiety, low mood, emotional reactivity, or a sense that something isn't quite right. Perhaps you've been coping for a long time but want more than just getting by. Many people I work with are seeking clarity, relief, and a greater sense of peace. They want to move forward without the past continuing to shape how they feel or function.

I now have immediate availability for new clients (both face to face and Telehealth).
I understand what it’s like to feel trapped in the constant noise around food, body image, and self-worth. My own journey with an eating disorder has deeply shaped the way I practice today. I bring not only clinical expertise but genuine empathy, lived understanding, and hope that full recovery is possible. My approach is collaborative and evidence-based, drawing from schema therapy, emotion-focused work, and body image healing. Most importantly, it’s grounded in the belief that you are not broken, your struggles are a response to unmet needs, and together, we can help you meet those needs in healthier, more empowering ways.

I offer individual psychotherapy for adults seeking to understand emotional conflicts, relationship struggles, and deeper psychological concerns. In a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space, you’ll have time to slow down, reflect, and feel. I welcome all parts of you to be seen and heard. Together, we can explore how past relationships and emotional wounds may be shaping your present, as well as dive into life’s deeper questions and existential concerns—creating a space to think deeply about what truly matters to you and to move toward a more authentic, fulfilling life.

If you are feeling overwhelmed by juggling all the demands of your busy life and you're constantly checking if you're enough to meet your own high standards or the expectations of others, then you're in the right place. No doubt you're starting to feel exhausted by the stress and anxiety that is building up inside you and you may have even adopted some unhelpful habits to help you cope.

I offer face-to-face sessions: Saturday and Tuesday in Leichhardt and online Wed-Friday, including evenings.
I trained as a therapist because I know the grief, health-related anxiety and depression of chronic illness can be overwhelming. What was going on pre-diagnosis can also need attention. I am available to validate difficult feelings, explore the sense of burden and work towards acceptance and restoring self-worth and confidence. My lived experience is of managing T1 Diabetes from the age of 17. My research interest is the role of chronic stress in auto-immune conditions and my purpose is to be available to those who seek more grounded and settled nervous systems as part of their approach to managing their health.

I believe that therapy is a necessity for every individual, regardless of their age, gender, or circumstances. Everybody has a story, and every story needs to be heard by a willing ear, understood with no judgement, shared in a safe environment, and respected. I aim to deliver a positive outcome for individuals, allowing them to further better their lives today, tomorrow and in their futures using a holistic and person-centred approach. I help my patients in building self-awareness, confidence, and understanding and empowering them to regain control of their lives, allowing positive choices, providing a sense of direction.

FAQ - About In Person Therapy
What are the benefits of in-person therapy?
In-person therapy offers several benefits that some people find highly valuable for their mental health treatment. Being present in the same room as your therapist can create a stronger sense of connection and allow for more nuanced communication through body language. Some people may also find it easier to focus in therapy when they are in a dedicated space and away from potential distractions related to home or work; attending an in-person session provides a clear boundary between therapy time and the rest of your life. For certain therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), exposure therapy, or somatic therapy, being in person may be particularly important, as these therapies benefit from the therapist being able to observe and respond to a client’s physical cues effectively. Additionally, some individuals simply feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or painful topics when they are face-to-face with their therapist rather than on a screen.

When should I choose in-person therapy over online therapy?
In-person therapy may be a better choice when you need a structured therapeutic environment separate from your daily life, when you find it difficult to focus or feel comfortable in an online setting, or when privacy at home is a concern. It may also be more appropriate if you are dealing with severe mental health symptoms that require close monitoring or if your therapy involves approaches that rely heavily on observing physical cues. On the other hand, if convenience, scheduling flexibility, or access to specialists outside your immediate area are priorities, online therapy may be a better fit. Many therapists offer both options, so you can also discuss with a provider which format might work best for your specific situation.

How do I find an in-person therapist?
You can use Psychology Today's therapist directory to find an in-person therapist in your area. You can search by location, insurance accepted, specialty areas, therapeutic approaches, and other criteria to narrow down providers who meet your needs. Each therapist profile includes information about their credentials, areas of expertise, and whether they offer in-person sessions. Once you have identified potential therapists, you can contact them directly through the directory to schedule an initial consultation and determine whether they are a good fit before committing to ongoing treatment. When reaching out, it can be helpful to confirm their availability for in-person appointments, their office location, and whether they accept your insurance.
