I have an interest in perimenopause, often beginning in the late 30s or 40s, and the hormone shifts that can influence mood, sleep, energy levels, memory and a woman's overall sense of self.
Her Season Psychology provides a safe space for women in all seasons of life. We embrace perimenopause and beyond, where many women experience emotional and psychological shifts that can affect mood, motivation, energy, relationships and identity. We empower young women building self-esteem, managing emotions, exploring identity and careers. We foster nurturing support in the perinatal season, balancing expectations with self-care. Maybe you're questioning - Am I coping or burning out? Is this anxiety? Why do I feel flat? Could I be neurodivergent? Why am I feeling lost in my relationship, career, or role as a mother or carer?

Do you feel that the life you always pictured for yourself is somehow out of reach? With the everyday stresses of life and work and expectations of both, time has not been on your side. This can produce anxiety or depression or just a flat slow feeling that further stands in your way a full happy life. I can offer a coaching approach as a registered coach with the International Coaching Federation. I can offer personal, or couples relationship counselling, or assess any situation that is holding you back in your work or social relationships.

You might be starting to feel like something is off, or you're not able to be your true self. Like life is becoming too complex or overwhelming to cope with. You might notice changes in your relationships with loved ones, co-workers, or friends, accompanied with feeling less motivated, connected, or present than you once were. You may have tried turning to the things that once brought you joy, but found limited success and are left feeling burnt out and stuck. You might be able to picture what a balanced life looks like, but struggle with creating real change.

I work with young people aged 12–25 and their parents. Some families come to me for the everyday challenges of growing up — anxiety, friendship struggles, low self-esteem, grief, school stress, or not feeling like they belong. Others are in harder territory — withdrawal, school refusal, substance use, rage, or behaviours that keep parents awake at night. Most parents arrive with the same question: Why isn’t what I’m doing working, and how do I reach my kid again? I help families answer that — by decoding what’s driving the behaviour and creating a space young people feel safe enough to do the work.

I work with individuals across the lifespan, supporting children and their families, youth and adults navigating a variety of concerns. I deeply believe everyone is deserving of a space where they can feel seen, heard and connected. I am interested in how people's backgrounds and histories, the environments and relationships we experience can shape who we are in the present moment, how we understand ourselves, and how we move through the world.

Hi, my name is Ji Fang but everyone calls me Fang. I've known for a long time I wanted to work with people. After a successful decade-long career in Human Resources, I decided to pursue a new direction in Psychology where I can work on a deeper personal level with people. I love using my psychological skills and training to help people improve mental health, heal from trauma, overcome addictions, connect with their purpose in life, work towards their goals and build better relationships. There is nothing more rewarding than to see my clients become stronger, better versions of themselves.

Sleep or Insomnia Therapists
How effective is treatment for insomnia?
The most effective treatments for insomnia are behavioral techniques that reduce anxiety, including anxiety about falling asleep, and allow the body’s natural cycles to be recalibrated. The most common treatment is cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), which researchers have found to be more useful than medication, with rates of success as high as 80 percent.

Are there specific medications for sleep problems?
There are many medications, both over-the-counter and prescription that treat sleep problems. Supplements such as melatonin are popular and may help, though there is little evidence that it is more effective than a placebo. Prescription medications such as zolpidem are sometimes prescribed.

Are there natural treatments for sleep problems?
There are many natural treatments for everyday sleep problems. Reducing blue-light emitting screens, setting a regular bedtime, regular exercise, reducing caffeine and nicotine consumption, and keeping the bedroom dark and cool at night are all lifestyle changes that can help those who struggle with sleep but may not reach the level of an insomnia diagnosis.

What’s the difference between having trouble falling asleep and insomnia?
Life events, stress, and anxiety can lead to sleepless nights for everyone from time to time. To be diagnosed with insomnia, a patient must experience trouble falling asleep, trouble remaining asleep, waking up too early, or non-restorative sleep at least three nights per week for at least one month. Sleep problems affect one-third to one-half of the population, while chronic insomnia affects about 10 to 15 percent of people.
