My ideal clients are people under significant stress who want practical, evidence‑based support to function better, not just a space to vent.
They often come because of injury, chronic pain, burnout, parenting strain, or family/insurance pressures that have made life feel unmanageable.
I help by offering a clear plan, teaching concrete CBT/DBT‑style skills, setting small between‑session tasks, and coordinating with GPs, insurers, or schools so changes in therapy translate into real‑world improvements

But talking with someone who understands trauma, stress, and the nervous system can create real shifts—relief, insight, and a sense of being met rather than judged.
People may seek therapy when the impact of life’s demands, past experiences, or protective patterns starts to exceed capacity, and that strain shows up as disconnection—potentially from purpose, from the body, or from relationships. You may be carrying the effects of painful or overwhelming experiences that still shape how you feel and relate today. Reaching out is a significant step, and you don’t have to work out the next ones alone. I offer compassionate, collaborative therapy informed by years of clinical experience, extensive training, and my work as a facilitator and trainer with the Blue Knot Foundation.

You might be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or carrying the weight of past experiences that are difficult to make sense of. This could show up as anxiety, low mood, emotional reactivity, or a sense that something isn't quite right. Perhaps you've been coping for a long time but want more than just getting by. Many people I work with are seeking clarity, relief, and a greater sense of peace. They want to move forward without the past continuing to shape how they feel or function.

As a Psychologist, my passion is to support clients who are working towards their personal growth, assisting them in expanding their understanding of the limiting beliefs and repeated patterns of behaviors that contribute to their emotional symptoms.
Using evidence-based therapeutic approaches and working collaboratively towards the clients’ goals, my role is to support clients reframe these thoughts/beliefs and develop new patterns of behaviors aligned with their personal values, which in turn promotes symptom reduction and enables clients to live a more fulfilling life.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists
When should I seek treatment for trauma?
Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.
How long does trauma therapy take?
Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.
What happens if trauma is left untreated?
Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.
Can PTSD come back after treatment?
It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
