Waitlist for new clients
Past clients attending fortnightly sessions for 6-9 months have described an increase in feeling grounded, greater self-trust, confidence and awareness with decision making and relationships, and a decrease in symptoms of trauma, anxiety and depression.
I hold an empathic and safe space for you to make sense of transitional life stages including young adulthood, parenthood, retirement, separation and grief. These rites of passage can feel overwhelming, exhausting, burdensome and uncertain. It can be a lonely time, but it does not have to be. Sessions with me are a time to pause, connect and unpack what you are carrying through the lens of an intergenerational, developmental, attachment-theory, trauma informed and interpersonal neurobiological process. I work in depth and relationally with clients who want to experience impactful and meaningful connection, support and healing.

I also work with couples to break out of unhelpful cycles and rebuild closeness in their relationships.
Sometimes, we just feel stuck—whether it’s anxious thoughts holding us back or low moods draining our energy and motivation. It can be frustrating, hard to explain, and even harder to manage alone. In therapy, we work together to make sense of what you're going through and explore a way forward. You don’t need a diagnosis to feel stuck—and you certainly don’t need one to talk to a therapist. One of the most reassuring parts of starting therapy is knowing that change is possible—and that you're not facing it alone.

I specialise in working with multigamous multi-partnered relationship structures such as polyamorous, Open, and Swinging, (often called "ENM" or "CNM").
I work with people who have a relationship structure that works for them – such as Polyamorous, Multigamous, Kink, BDSM, Open, and Swinging – and how they can work through the non-consensual-monogamous relationship expectations that have been placed on them from the Anglo-Saxon Overculture in colonialised Australia.

You will start to have more rewarding, healthy relationships.
Are you feeling disconnected from yourself and others? You could be feeling depressed, maybe you suffer from anxiety. You might feel overwhelmed by your emotions at times. Sadness. Anger. Confusion. Sometimes they all mix together into one big negative feeling that threatens to overtake you. Or, maybe you just feel numb–you go about your life… like you are living in a daze not knowing what you feel or what you want. Maybe you feel simply just not good enough.

Couples Counselling Therapists
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
