Feel like a badass while you achieve insight, acceptance and freedom from what’s holding you back
“The best therapeutic experience comes from combining cutting-edge psychology with a great trusting partnership. I find it deeply meaningful to empower you, and celebrate your success as you become the best version of yourself. In the therapy room I create a space where you can open up to your vulnerabilities without fear of judgement, and my style is collaborative, relaxed and compassionate. Over my career, I’ve sought out and honed a range of therapeutic skills so that I can match my offering to what best suits you. My hope is pass on the blueprint to understanding, coping and overcoming challenges both now and in the future"

“I’d love to help you develop a supportive, kind and caring relationship with yourself, and secure and fulfilling relationships with others. Working with you to understand why you respond to the world like you do, what really matters to you, and supporting behaviour that back up your ambitions is my jam. We all face challenges in how we relate to ourselves and the world. I believe developing a sense of psychological safety and flexibility, and nurturing emotional intelligence and agility are key to recovering, striving and thriving in all parts of your life”

“I am so looking forward to getting to know you as a unique individual, and working together to create the life you wish for. I believe that creating sustainable change is only possible when working with people holistically. I have always cringed at traditional, clinical styles of therapy, so instead I am committed to treating you as a real person and working together to help you live your best life. I love it when people take a proactive approach to their mental health. There isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t appreciate how much of a privilege it is to get to know my clients and work together with them in a meaningful way"

I work from Attachment and Positive Psychology therapy frameworks, using modalities such as Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy ( ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy.
Life can be challenging, but we can do hard things, and when we work together, you can discover your strengths and improve your feelings of self-worth and purpose. When you feel hopeless, we can work together to find your direction and regain the power you may have lost. I want to help you embrace your life and the lessons it can show you. I can help you process feelings of anxiety, stress, sadness, loss and anger that may be overwhelming. Let's start with you telling me your story, and we can walk on from there.

EMDR, Schema Therapy and ACT are the most common modalities used in sessions, though through exploration in the first few sessions which direction is best suited will be worked out together in line with your goals/what you would like.
Therapy can be a big step and decision and it is important that your therapist is someone you feel safe and supported by, that you are respected and so are your strengths and capacities. I work in a holistic and supportive way working with clients to heal, and achieve the outcomes that they choose. I have worked for a number of years with survivors of childhood sexual assault, adult sexual assault, intimate partner and other violence and also work with those who use violence.

As I've developed my practice, I've come to incorporate IFS (Internal Family Systems) and Somatic therapy with CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy), allowing for both self-understanding and acceptance, as well as a useful way forward.
Heya, I’m Sagar! I understand how nerve-wracking it can be to walk into a psychologist’s office. That’s why I aim to be warm, empathetic and approachable, to build a genuine relationship as the foundation of our therapeutic process. I work across the lifespan, and I love helping clients navigate those big life changes— adolescence into adulthood; career into retirement; or any of those big, overwhelming events that seem to just come with life. My approach is to give clients insight into their thoughts & emotions, warmth and space to help process and heal, then collaboratively create tools and strategies to lay problems to rest.

Using ACT, CBT, EFT, and existential therapy, I help you explore patterns, process emotions, and move forward with clarity and direction.
Many clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, or emotionally disconnected—often appearing capable and in control on the outside. They may be dealing with relationship issues, family estrangement, anxiety, or questions of identity and purpose. Counselling offers a space to reflect, process difficult emotions, and reconnect with what matters. The goal isn’t just symptom relief, but lasting change—building self-awareness, healthier relationships, and a more meaningful life.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Counsellors

How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.

What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?

The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.

Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?

Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.

How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?

A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
