My ideal client is anyone who has decided they want to slow down, look inwards, and make better sense of their experience. Life throws all sorts of challenges our way, and I want to help you navigate whatever you want support in. I want to meet you where you are at and help get you where you want to go. You are the expert in your life, and my goal is to help bring new perspectives and ideas to help you decide what is best for you. Depending on your goals, this can be anything from managing symptoms and presenting issues, to digging deeper into the learned patterns that shape our lives.

I support adults, older adults and teenagers experiencing grief, loss, bereavement, trauma, and major life transitions. Many come after the death of a loved one. Others grieve something less visible but just as real: a relationship, a sense of home, an identity, or a version of themselves that feels lost. Some live with anxiety, depression, complex trauma, existential questions about life meaning and mortality. I work with neurodivergent individuals in an affirming way. I also work with French-speaking clients and people navigating relocation across all states and territories in Australia.

Dissociation? TRAUMA? CPTSD? Perhaps you’ve tried therapy but it hasn’t helped at a deeper level. Perhaps you've felt judged or misunderstood. Yet therapy doesn’t have to be miserable! Healing is often found in the quality of your relationship with your therapist. If you experience complex trauma and dissociation, it doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with you. It just means that responses that helped you survive in the past are getting in the way in the present. Together, with patience and understanding, we can update these patterns so you can feel better. Using IFS, EMDR, Psychodynamic approaches. You are welcome to contact me.

Not accepting new clients
Currently unable to accept new referrals - several months wait time. I provide psychological intervention to adults and adolescents, with a focus on developing insight into your current life difficulties (eg anxiety, depression, issues connecting with people), considering how you would like your life to be, and beginning to take actions toward that desired life. I utilise Schema Therapy, with elements from a range of other therapy models (eg ACT, IPT, DBT, CBT) where needed, particularly when assisting people to develop new skills.

I've been in private practice as a Psychotherapist for 7 years. Outside of psychotherapy, I've also worked in depth with complex mental health issues within in the community for NDIS, and as a Behaviour therapist for adults, children, and families also within the NDIS space. I connect well with adults and adolescents by offering a unique expressive practice including a variety of talk therapy modalities and creative modalities. Expressive therapies are particularly helpful for those who find it difficult to connect with a therapist and perhaps feel like they've told their story many times before.

Supporting people with attachment issues, interpersonal difficulties, personality disorders, depression, anxiety and compulsions has been a natural extension of my work.
Life can present many challenges and can sometimes bring exposure to unexpected events with profound impact and ongoing echoes. In my 30 years of practice as a psychologist I have held a passion for supporting individuals attempting to traverse life’s difficulties with particular attention to those who have experienced trauma. Trauma comes in many forms and from many sources and its impact and pathway toward healing is as individual as the person making this journey. I am experienced working with individuals with PTSD including Emergency Service Personnel.

Personality Disorders Therapists
What are the common treatment options for personality disorders?
Personality disorders are typically treated with psychotherapy, sometimes in conjunction with medication. Therapy can help people with personality disorders develop skills to tolerate difficult emotions, navigate interpersonal relationships, and solidify their sense of self. Medications can treat symptoms that co-occur with the disorder, such as depression, anger, aggression, and impulsivity.

When to seek treatment for personality disorders?
Even though treatment for personality disorders can be an uphill battle, it’s best to seek help if you suspect that you or a loved one is struggling with one, because personality disorders can create substantial problems in life. Symptoms depend on the specific disorder, but overall signs of personality disorders include consistent difficulty maintaining close relationships, dramatic variations in self-esteem, and an unstable sense of identity.

How long does therapy take for personality disorders?
The timeline for treating personality disorders isn’t as clear-cut as it is for other disorders. Change can be difficult, taking from around one year to five, 10, or more. The key is finding a therapist who has extensive experience treating the relevant disorder. For example, a psychologist who specialises in narcissistic personality disorder has specific communication strategies that allow them to sustain the relationship and be more effective with narcissistic patients.

Can therapy help people with personality disorders?
Research suggests that for those who are motivated to address concerns or interpersonal conflict related to a personality disorder, therapy is far more effective than no treatment, and that most people in therapy see improvements. However, since personality disorders involve entrenched elements of identity, they are less responsive to treatment than are other mental health conditions. Finding an expert who has extensive experience working with a given personality disorder is one factor that increases the likelihood of successful treatment.
