About
I work with NDIS participants, with their nominated care team. I offer outreach in Melbourne's inner east, telehealth and office appointments. The people I support have complex psycho-social disabilities. They want flexible and understanding support which acknowledges their environment and circumstances, not another diagnosis or round of CBT. Most importantly, they want help with their goals that they have chosen, big or small, because they want to enjoy their lives rather than jump through hoops; Empowerment on the participant's terms.
People come back to me because they feel respected, and in control. This is because I work in a Humanist, Person-Centered manner that upholds the knowledge and experience of the individual. I do this because of my own experience as a consumer of psych services. I work collaboratively with the individual, and their care team, big or small.
Please feel free to get in touch, and get a sense of who I am. It took me a while to find my counsellor, and I encourage shopping around until you find a good fit. Asking for help doesn't mean you're weak or broken, just that you want things to be better.
