Carolyn Hartevelt, is a registered psychologist with 17+ years experience counselling. I work with anxiety disorders, stress management, Adult ADHD, ASD, PTSD, complex trauma, relationship and spiritual issues. I will work collaboratively with you to gain insight on how your responses are impacting your current situation. We will explore any relevant history that has shaped and influenced who you are today. Relevant strategies will be provided that will empower you to move forward in an adaptive way. I have raised children, moved countries, retrained careers, and I understand the importance of self-care and work/life balance.
I also have qualifications and experience in Christian Counselling. I have worked in various community based settings, and now I am in Private Practice. I am trained in CBT, Schema Therapy, EMDR, Christian Therapy, Gottman Couple Therapy. I am caring, empathetic and respectful and provide a nonjudgemental approach to sessions.
Therapy is helpful to gain insight into what you are journeying through, to learn strategies to bring about a change to your circumstances.
