I work in a client-focused way and to address the issues the client brings to the session. I have worked with a range of issues. I particularly like working with children, young people and couples who are experiencing relationship difficulties, whether that be with a partner, school relationships or parents.
I use various techniques with children and young people to help them express themselves, using animals, drawing, stories and acting out situations. With parents, I often refer to the Circle of Security training I have learnt, parent-child interaction therapy and other ways to develop a secure attachment.
I have spent nearly 30 years developing skills in order to help people with issues that effect them. I will try to listen and understand the issues the client wants to work on and use techniques the client is comfortable with.
