Naomi (she/her) brings a bright, curious and compassionate approach to her work with children (8 years +) and adults. She will listen carefully and ask thoughtful questions to help clients make sense of their experience and find ways forward. Naomi operates from a neurodiversity affirming and trauma informed approach. Naomi is an advocate of people from all genders and sexualities. She has a strong research background (trauma and PTSD) and brings that same curiosity and knowledge of the evidence base to her work with clients.
Naomi is able to work with a range of clinical presentations, including; Complex Trauma and PTSD, Depression and Anxiety, ASD/ADHD Therapy, Family and Relationship Issues and Couples Therapy. Naomi uses a strengths-based approach that recognises the client’s skills, interests, personal attributes and connections - and ways to build on these.
Naomi has a conversational style that is fun and engaging, and she draws on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT); Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT); Compassion Focussed Therapy; Emotion Focussed Therapy; Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT); Family Systems Therapy; and body-oriented approaches to soothe the nervous system and meet sensory needs.
