Apart from the training and studies I have undertaken, I bring a wealth of life experience to the counselling space, enabling me to provide support for various issues with which my clients may be struggling. I offer counselling for individuals/groups, when intra or extra familial child sexual abuse has occurred and for women whose lives have been impacted by their mens offending. I work with couples to assist in the repairing of damaged, non communicative and disconnected relationships, with the aim of bringing about forgiveness and reconnection. Conversely, to discover a way to part amicably, working towards conscious separation.
I provide a non judgemental environment where clients are able to feel deeply heard, held, supported and safe. I am considered by clients and colleagues alike to be a warm, caring, compassionate, empathic and intuitive person-centred therapist. I have training in, and borrow from, a number of modalities.
Recognising the need and reaching out for help is the first step towards overcoming the challenges of life. To my understanding, the quality of the relationship between the client and counsellor is the cornerstone of a meaningful and positive therapeutic experience.
