I regard being a counsellor as a privilege, working with my clients who show great courage and resilience in sharing their stories and striving to work on their personal issues to improve their psychological and emotional wellbeing. I believe that my clients are the experts in their own lives and by reaching out for professional support and counselling are able to learn evidence-based psychological strategies to cope with life's challenges and to enrich their own lives.
I have over 20 years experience working in a variety of counselling roles in non-government organisations around issues of childhood trauma, child sexual abuse, as well as a generalist counsellor providing counselling to improve the emotional and psychological well-being of my clients .
I believe that therapeutic change occurs in a non-judgmental, compassionate and client centred space and I enjoy providing a safe and welcoming environment to all my clients.
