Trauma and ongoing stress can leave survival energy stuck in the nervous system. We may adapt by seeking or avoiding certain situations, or hold tension to protect ourselves from difficult feelings and sensations. While these strategies once helped us cope and survive, they can also leave us feeling trapped and disconnected. I work by joining with you with sensitivity and compassion, to bring gentle awareness and support to underlying patterns, without pressure to force change. At your pace, we create the conditions for the nervous system to gradually settle and reorganise, allowing inner security, vitality and connection to emerge.
I work relationally, somatically and holistically, with the therapeutic relationship central to healing and growth. We address the deeper developmental themes shaping present challenges. I tailor therapy to individual needs around issues such as anxiety, grief, relationships, life transitions, workplace, cultural and spiritual concerns.
I have experience and an interest in working with trauma, including relational, developmental and complex trauma. I offer couples therapy to heal relationship patterns and deepen emotional connection. I work systemically with children (9+), young people, families and adults, with attention to the broader social and relational contexts shaping wellbeing.
