I am clinical psychologist and work with anxiety disorders, depression, addictions, trauma, relationships and sexuality. I have a special interest in working with LGBTQ+ clients, with a queer affirming perspective. My therapeutic approach uses CBT, ACT and mindfulness for letting go of unhelpful thoughts, being present with difficult emotions and connecting to your values; the things that really matter to you.
In my early career I was a social worker, health adviser and counsellor in HIV and sexual health. After my doctorate in clinical psychology, I focused on adult mental health, working in various public health settings, forensics and in university counselling. I set up The Skype Clinic in 2012 and now only work by telehealth.
The standard fee for a 50-minute session is $180. If you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP you can claim a Medicare rebate of $145.25 per session for 10 sessions of individual therapy (i.e the gap fee is $34.75). The couples therapy fee is $230 per session (unfortunately Medicare does not rebate couples). Bulk billing is available on request.
