Having a history of working in Emergency Services and with a number of people with CPTSD and vicarious trauma , I know firsthand the cumulative impact this work can have on the nervous system, relationships and sense of self. DBT for Adolescent and Parent skills group
This is a 20 week evidence based skills group for both teen and carer/parent. 5 Modules covered include 1. Mindfulness 2. Walking the middle path 3. Distress Tolerance 4. Emotion Regulation 5. Interpersonal Effectiveness. NIDS self managed or plan managed participants are eligible as well as Medicare Rebate eligible under Better Access
