My practice enables clients to be their authentic selves, whilst gaining insight and clarity into existing issues that they bring forward.
Strengths based, person centred and holistic care, through a trauma informed lens ,is the core of my practice.
I mainly work with individual adults, with a breadth of experience, both lived and learned. Previous clients have relayed that they felt relaxed, due to my authentic and empathetic approach, which helps them be open.
I condone that a person is the expert of their own life and is equipped with the tools to move forward and I am there to guide them on their journey.
My main counselling expertise is in the Alcohol and Other Drugs/mental health field, for which I hold qualifications and have practised, in various community settings, for the past ten years. Including use of the Social and Emotional Wellbeing model, in Aboriginal spaces, disability advocacy, AOD Family Reunification and complex case management.
My work is always person centred and led, whilst grounded in integrity and empathy. I believe in encouragement and support, to help guide people to self discovery and their own best outcome, to where they are currently in their life.
