Hello, I am so glad you found me! My name is Nerida, I have a wealth of knowledge, therapeutic expertise and training with over 30 years experience working as a Psychotherapist, Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor and located in Menai and Padstow, New South Wales. As a Counsellor & Psychotherapist, I specialise in working with individuals, couples and groups applying various modalities to address issues such as addictions, relationship counselling, premarital counselling, trauma counselling and clinical supervision.
I see my role as one of sitting with people in conversation, working collaboratively to manage and understand the concerns that bring them to counselling. My goal is to ensure that the counselling and psychotherapy sessions happen in a confidential, caring, non-judgmental and safe environment.
I am passionate about supporting my clients to make meaning from their life experiences whilst helping, guiding and mentoring them in such a way that they find a sense of hope and a striving to turn their life around and live in line with their own values, goals and individual needs – “live a life worth living”.
