We will work together on what is most important to you. Many clients are embarking on their recovery journey and are seeking relief from very acute addictive behaviours. Others are seeking longer-term psychotherapy to heal the wounds underlying those addictions. Others still, are seeking just a few sessions for specific challenges, such as a relationship break-up, bouts of anxiety or depression, or because they feel stuck in some way. I take a compassionate and curious approach to working with clients who struggle with addictions, complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, poor body image, stress, burn-out, relationships, work, finding purpose, grief and loss, and 12-step recovery. I work in a trauma-informed, Internal Family Systems informed and person centred way.
This work found me when I hit bottom with my lifelong struggle with food addiction, binge eating and bulimia. I became extensively involved with peer support groups, personal therapy and a lot of self-exploration and study. I discovered other substance and process addictions, then complex trauma and attachment injury, and their intergenerational nature.

The online group is a space for viewing food addiction recovery through the lens of the Internal Family Systems (IFS) for compassionate and curious exploration of the parts of us that play key roles in our addictive food behaviours.
