I’m a Counselling Psychologist with 25 years experience holding Masters Degrees in Counselling Psych and Special Ed. Imagining my ideal client I see individuals/families seeking support for diverse challenges which may be manifesting as anxiety, depression, communication, eating disorders, low self-esteem or stress. Their needs are complex, reflecting their unique situations. Goals vary widely from anxiety management to enhancing parenting skills, however the underlying desire is to lead a more fulfilling life. Clients seek understanding and support as they navigate life's challenges, looking for tools and strategies to move forward

I feel great compassion for people who struggle with change and adaptation to new circumstances and have spent my professional career working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, addiction, adjustment disorder(s), sleep dysfunction, emotional regulation difficulties, identity instability, communication challenges, complex and chronic medical concerns and trauma. No matter what challenges people are faced with I believe that all people have the ability to create a life they would rather be living and I enjoy helping work out how to move towards that.

I enjoy working with young people and families who are goal focused and motivated to make real progress and change. I have a down-to-earth and child friendly manner, with lived experience in the challenges of modern everyday family life. While having a keen interest in supporting the needs of children and families, I also provide support for individuals across the lifespan across a broad range of areas including trauma therapy and EMDR.

FACT IS: "It's not a matter of IF life will throw obstacles and hurdles at you... it's WHEN." For 20 years I have been counselling people from all walks of life (CEOs, surgeons and psychologists through to miners, call centre staff, managers and cleaners). And what I've noticed is how many people struggle with their relationships - that could be the relationship with their partner, their child, their parents, their co-workers, their mates or the biggest and most important relationship of them all... THEMSELVES! Now, they don't always know it's their relationship at first, because it might look like stress, conflict, anxiety, etc.
