My name is Dr Hana Guo, and I am an EMDR, CBT and psychodynamic psychotherapist who is dedicated to helping my clients break free from unhealthy patterns that keep on repeating. Our practitioners: Chenhong Xu (Clinical Psychologist), Summer Guo (Clinical Psychologist), Rachel Du (Counsellor). Some clients present with psychological symptoms while others seek supportive counselling. We all speak fluent English and Mandarin, and are culturally sensitive in our treatment approaches. Chen and Summer work with adolescents and adults. Rachel works across all age groups including children. Chen has 9 years of clinical experience and is a Board-registered supervisor. She oversees the management of the practice and provides regular clinical supervision for the practitioners, ensuring quality care for the clients.

Xuan (pronounced Shen) provides evidence-based and person-centred treatment with adolescents, adults, couples and families from diverse cultural, linguistic, and economic backgrounds. Xuan has multilingual skills and can deliver services in English or in Mandarin 说中文 She aims to provide a warm space where clients could form an in-depth understanding of themselves, to reflect on existing or past experiences, and to learn and grow at a pace that suits them.

Bixia is a clinical psychologist with considerable experiences in private practice, university and community mental health settings. She is a warm, caring and genuine psychologist who’s practice values are based upon empathy, safety and authenticity. Bixia firmly believes that establishing a robust client-therapist relationship is crucial for successful therapy outcomes. She works to create a secure and non-judgmental environment where her clients feel comfortable expressing their challenges. Bixia assists them in gaining insight into their inner world and exploring how their early experiences impact their current difficulties.

Carol holds a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology and has been practicing as a registered Psychologist for over 20 years, at various settings including private practice, mental health and community sectors. Carol offers telehealth appointments only, she has expertise in working with depression, anxiety, stress, and is keen to assist adults with general psychological issues and enhance their resilience, but also has multilingual skills, delivers services in English, Chinese ( 说中文, Mandarin and Cantonese), and interest in working with migrants and clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Melanie (she/her) believes clients are the experts of their own lives. Considering each individual’s unique strengths and challenges, Melanie takes a warm and tailored approach to help clients make sense of their experiences and reach their goals. Her therapy is informed by evidence-based practice, integrating various modalities that encompasses acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed therapy, attachment theory, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing.

Metocha Play Therapy is led by May Yeung, Associate Lecturer in Play Therapy and Clinical Supervisor, who has 9 years of experience providing one-to-one play therapy interventions for children, adolescents and adults with a range of emotional and behavioral problems such as attention deficit disorder, language disorders, autism, learning disabilities, family dysfunction, loss of a family member, sexual abuse, anxiety, depression, self-harm or suicidal behavior, with an 18- 60 play therapy interventions with a 90% success rate. She is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English.
