Hi, I’m Maggie. We all get stuck sometimes. I hope you can find a way to have a happy life. My 15 years teaching meditation and working with groups has given me a lot of experience aiding people as they grow, develop and find more joy. In recent times I has moved into the counselling arena. I believe that given the right circumstance we all have the potential to grow into the best versions of ourselves. No matter what you are going through, there is always a path back to peace and happiness. The first step is to make the choice to do something to help yourself. If you are here, that's a great start.
Talk therapies can be problematic as they run the risk of retraumatising the client. Therapies that focus on the body’s wisdom are proving to be very successful at providing transformation. Because our nervous system stores stress in our body. I use Mindfulness, Somatic (body) awareness and Internal Family Systems as the bases of the therapy I provide
My own journey that included breast cancer, physical disability, break-up and loss of loved ones helps in my understand that life happens to all of us one way or another. Although it can be hard to believe it sometimes, no matter what you are going through, there is always a path back to happiness. Take care.
