A qualified Counsellor/Psychotherapist & Clinical Supervisor working with Perinatal Mental Health, Grief & Loss and Trauma, Lisa works with women who struggle with depression/anxiety particularly in pregnancy and the postnatal period and who have experienced trauma - in birth or from childhood and grief and loss. "I find that it is such rewarding work to be able to help someone work through their challenges. My aim is to work WITH you, to support you and guide you, so you don't feel alone in this journey".
My focus in therapy is to initially see what brings you to therapy - what's caused you to reach out? and how can we work together to help set you back on your path. I am experienced in a number of therapies which we may use parts of or all of, depending on what suits you best. This can be short term or long-term therapy. It's up to you.
Pregnancy and parenting can be such a hard time for a lot of people, whether just struggling to adjusting to becoming parents, to mental health concerns that can exacerbate during this time such as anxiety and depression. Trauma and grief and loss commonly occur during this time for many different reasons. Support during this time can be invaluable.
